TWU Spring 2009

Hello everyone just wanted to see if there were anymore hopeful spring 2009 applicants out there. I submitted my application already and just sitting back waiting till Nov when acceptance/rejection letters are sent out. I know they said for us to check out emails everyday in October. If anyone has been through the application process before please share your experience. Good luck to everyone :wink2:

It just said that I've been put on the wait list and if someone doesn't want their acceptance or doesn't enroll then they will call people who are on the list. It also states that you have to reapply for the fall and that the application will be up in Dec. They also said they would contact you by phone or mail so call if you contact info has changed

Thank you for the update!

I waiting to hear from the people in Houston although I did not apply for Houston only Dallas campus.

I really want to go to the Houston campus. So I'm hoping they will have a few slots open. I wish these people would go ahead and accept or reject their acceptance. Even though next fri is the deadline to do so the lady said as soon as a spot opens up they will contact you. Maybe I'l hear something before the end of next week :)

I am curious to know how many applicants there were and how many slots were open....does anyone know?

When I called TWU-Dallas they said that they were accepting 120 students for Spring and 120 for Fall. I do not know how many applicants they said they get. For summer, they take 30 and the woman said that there are between 500 and 600 applicants for the summer ususally. She also told me that a 3.7 was competitive, but did not say what score was competitive for the NET. It seems that the NET does play a big role though since I have heard of some people with lower GPAs (as in 3.3) with very high NETs (in 90's) getting in, and I actually know someone who did get in to the Houston program with these credentials.

Goodluck to everyone! Princess, I am sure that someone will not take their place. I wonder how many get on the wait list?

Well I am still awaiting the mail today. I did not receive an email regarding the waitlist so I can only hope I got in.

My net is not the greatest at 67.

Are you applying to Houston or Dallas?

I am trying to read past discussion to make sure I do not keep asking the same question, but I am sure I am missing some along the way.

Well, at least there's a date by which accepted applicants have to respond! I'll be praying that you get that call!

Just incase anyone else was interested....i called Denton office - there were estimated 500 "eligible" applicants for both Denton/Houston. They were able to accept 100 for Dallas and 90 for Houston.

I haven't gotten any e-mails or letters, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. If Princess_WannaBe received an e-mail about being on the wait list, then I will have an even more difficult time trying to get in. Her stats are way better than mine. We will see.....maybe they have a couple lottery slots...(but i doubt it).
