I live just north of Denton - so with the letters going out yesterday - it may be a few days more (hopefully only one) to get to Houston. Hang in there ~ i'm thinking positive for all of you waiting.....:typing

Do the letters for Houston come from Denton?

I'm just so depressed. If it's a no I would just want it to be that. I'm so hurt I wasn't good enough to all 100 something people beat me out. I just don't knwo what to do. When I called they said since I applied to both campuses I'm waitlisted for both Plus I may have to wait until the 1st day of class to know something. This wait is too long from now till Jan

Yes, all correspondence comes from Denton campus.

DONT BE DEPRESSED! this nursing school competition is just ridiculous. There is such an incredible nursing shortage that they should be letting people just walk into nursing school. I probably got a flat out rejection because my net score was horrible and my GPA was only 3.5. Dont feel bad!

Oh Princess Wanna be ~ i'm so sorry! You ARE good enough - it's just so competetive. I know the only reason i got in was b/c i took all my pre-reqs at TWU. Hang in there - eerything happens for a reason. I know it probably doesn't help much - just know my :redpinkhe goes out to you and i'm thinking of you.

Did you say you are retaking a class to up your gpa? I took four classes to up my gpa this summer. This is a journey and it is well worth the wait.

I know it is hard to smile right now, but this is when GOD doesn't want you to give up on yourself and him. He knows your desires and your heart.:nuke:

Did they even say how many are on the waitlist?

Wow, I have been reading everyone's threads, and I am so nervous for everyone! I am applying for the Dallas fast track '09 program, and I just can't wait till I finish my pre-requisites in January so I can complete the nursing application for Feb 1. I take the NET in January as well. I am very very stressed about this acceptance issue of only 30 students being accepted for the fast track. I know of three other girls who are also applying for this fast-track program.

To everyone who did not get accepted, there is always hope! Don't give up. Everything wonderful is worth fighting for, right? And to those who were wait-listed, don't give up either because you still have a chance! I have heard of people getting in a week before classes started. Many people choose other schools, and therefore slots open up.

Goodluck everyone! :) Keep us posted!

I did not get any mail. Friends are calling and telling me great news and all I can say is "Congratulations." I am so proud for them, but it is so hard to not think about ourselves.

Let me tell all of you a funny...this will make you laugh

I went to the local post office to get a one-on-one lesson on how postal mail travels. I did this because my friends in Lewisville, Texas is further away than Lake Dallas and I just could not understand it. Now you know you are laughing...go ahead.:chuckle

I am actually thinking about writing a book on what to expect when waiting for Nursing School Admission.

I will need everyone's help because I would like to have personal accounts of each day from application to now.
