Was there a trouble maker in your middle and high school classes? You will all ways have a trouble maker in classes and in the work place. They even inhabit your church.

Yes, and sometimes, it can be the majority of the class, most of the staff on a unit, or even an entire facility.

Every class has a trouble maker AND a student who has either had every disease known to mankind or is related to a person who suffers from every obscure disease ever diagnosed - AND - they want to talk about it until you want to scream!

I'm not in nursing classes yet, but I do know what you mean. Some will even have an offensive, condescending attitude towards the teacher/ instructor (which I think is very disrespectful), and others will even try to outsmart the teachers. Sometimes I feel like saying something to make them shut up so we can all continue learning, but that would only escalate the situation. So, I just sit there...and watch them lack maturity infront of the whole class. It's fun to watch for a while, but then it gets really annoying and will hinder teaching.

That attitude is not going to fly very long in nursing school! You can never outsmart a nursing instructor - don't even try. These people will be weeded out in the first semester!

If only that were true....too often, they will be there until the bitter end. And then they become your co-workers

Ugh yes. In my situation, for some reason, our trouble maker convinced the clinical instructor she was wonderful. She was condescending to other students, and made faces behind the instructors back, yet she was favored for all good assignments. We both planned to work at the facility after graduation, and I was relieved when we weren't both hired.
