TIPS/Info for passing NCLEX

:), I feel so stupid for posting the above post...what was I thinking? Haha. I posted it last night, I got up and read that part of ur advice again, and I am like what in the world was I thinking haha!

Sorry for asking u that stupid question. i think I read the sentence before as LPN's CANNOT instead of can...so all along I was reading it, "Lpn's cannot be ginve hemodynamically stable pt." I'm like ? I read the same sentence again this mo rning realizing it's can and not cannot. I hope I donot make that stupid stupid mistake in NCLEX.

Hello guys, I passed NCLEX with 85 questions. I used Kaplan Q-Bank and Trainer inaddition to saunders Q&A. I also did questions from NCSBN site. Basically, what helped me the most was Kaplan strategies of answering questions such as eliminating at least two of four choices, ABC, Maslow's hierarchy and soon. The other tip that could be good is taking enough time to answer each questions accuratly as possible , read each questions and make sure to understand what is all about. Understanding the question is half way answering accuratly. This much I can say about the nclex.

I have a little secret for those of you who want to know how to pass the NCLEX: STUDY! I keep reading messages about people studying for the NCLEX and stating that nothing could have prepared them. I was getting those same responses from my peers before I took the NCLEX on Tuesday, and it made me extremely anxious about taking the test. I studied continuously for 3-4 weeks, from the time I got up in the morning until the time I went to sleep (with coffee breaks in between of course). I would study during the weekdays and work on the weekends. My studying involved using Saunders Comprehensive Review and Lippincott's Review for NCLEX-RN. When it came down to taking the test, the first 10 questions were SO similar to questions I'd encountered while studying. Throughout the duration of the test, I felt confident. There were a few prioritization questions that had me thinking , but for the most part, I felt like I conquered the exam. I have not received my test results yet; however, the machine shut off at 75 questions, and I walked out of there with an overwhelming sense of confidence.

Trust me, STUDYING pays off. You can take all the KAPLAN reviews and HURST reviews you want; IMHO, what it all boils down to is discipline and preparation. :pumpiron:

u have to study at least 50 saunders questions per day for 2 months , a s studies show that who practice more than 3000 questions get higher chance to pass ,,, wishing u all the best

Okay, first let me say that I rarely offer comments on this site. I know that sounds selfish and now that my boards are done I will try to finally "share" with everyone what has helped me. The NCLEX exam is truly like no other. It was difficult, but obviously do-able. What helped me was really simple.....LET GO OF REVIEWING CONTENT! At some point you have to call it a day and simply run questions. Honestly I did about 2500 and reviewed all rationales. That's really the trick. I had Kaplan, Saunders, Lippincott and Meds Pub (Overload!) What it came down to was not making stupid mistakes by reading to quickly and doing as many questions as possible. BIG NOTE....don't do any questions the day before test. Good Luck, You Can do this!!!
