I have a little secret for those of you who want to know how to pass the NCLEX: STUDY! I keep reading messages about people studying for the NCLEX and stating that nothing could have prepared them. I was getting those same responses from my peers before I took the NCLEX on Tuesday, and it made me extremely anxious about taking the test. I studied continuously for 3-4 weeks, from the time I got up in the morning until the time I went to sleep (with coffee breaks in between of course). I would study during the weekdays and work on the weekends. My studying involved using Saunders Comprehensive Review and Lippincott's Review for NCLEX-RN. When it came down to taking the test, the first 10 questions were SO similar to questions I'd encountered while studying. Throughout the duration of the test, I felt confident. There were a few prioritization questions that had me thinking , but for the most part, I felt like I conquered the exam. I have not received my test results yet; however, the machine shut off at 75 questions, and I walked out of there with an overwhelming sense of confidence. Trust me, STUDYING pays off. You can take all the KAPLAN reviews and HURST reviews you want; IMHO, what it all boils down to is discipline and preparation. :pumpiron: Good luck to those of you who have not taken the test yet. I'll let you know when I get my results (though I'm pretty sure I know them already )
