I feel the same way! I have learned so much from this board and all of the people who participate on it. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.:redbeathe
OPALM, I love ya girl! Congrats to you and a special thank you for being there when I needed you. Uh oh, that sounds so mushy but it is true.:kiss We made it, we are RN's and have achieved so much through distance learning. Even though passing the boards is such a huge milestone for us, I think that friendships forged during the process is even more significant!
Thanks again to everyone.

Ahh, Shucks thanks :icon_hug: Now stop getting so sappy and get out there and do the dance. You know we worked darn hard to do the dance. Wanna go to Vegas!!
Congrats to you too.

Both of these RN's proved my signature addy: "The sky's the limit when your heart is in it" graduating from Deaconess College ASN program. Through hard work, studying, setting up own clinical experiences, learning to network with other nurses and online with study buddy and allnurses posts they've reached that RN milestone after slaying :smiley_abthe NCLEX exam.
Their example along with many others here shows that mature adults can succeed utilizing distance education.

Will have to watch out for my job now....:chuckle

THANK YOU so much! It is soooooo nice to see positive feedback.
Rest assured your job is fine as I am going to continue with my distance education for my masters in Family Nurse Practitioner. Will take me about 3 years.........but I will do it!

Thanks Cheri,
What are your plans after your LPN?
Opalm RN,
I have been planning since the Fall of last year to transfer to Excelsior once I pass the NCLEX PN. My decision to do this was based on the cost of tuition, the travel required, and the fact that DCN would take an addition semester because they required me to take the Spring 2006 semester off while I sit the boards. I am feeling more and more confident that I am making the right decision.
I bought my books for Excelsior two weeks ago and I have already started studying for NC1 which I am planning to take as soon as I have taken the NCLEX. I have a game plan set up and I want to be ready to sit the NCLEX RN by this time next year.
This should be an exciting year!

FYI--
You needn't wait for your NCLEX-PN exam to take the NC1 or NC2 exams. You can take these as well as any of your other general ed exams prior to enrolling in the program.
Good Luck!!!!

MedictoRN,
I appreciate the support! Congrats on finishing the ASN...
I know I can take NC1 before the NCLEX PN but trying to make the boards a first priority...
