So yesterday I finally scheduled to take the NCLEX for the second time. Hoping for a far better outcome than the last time I battled this monster!
My experience the first time around: I had just graduated, was in the middle selling our house and moving, finding a new daycare for our son, and settling in. My application was delayed due to the system being out of whack so I had to resend it and was set back about 2 wks. Got in a spat with the man at the BON over my application b/c he didn't have time to look and see what the hold up was. Kept feeling like I should change the date. Needless to say, everything was crazy!
This time: Application processed and new ATT sent with no problems. Registered for the date and time that popped in my head last week. Both were available :yeah:And, our son loves his new daycare!! So far, so good!

Great luck to you, tip: don't forget to look into the infection control mnemonics!

Good luck.
Thank you all so much! I have incorporated many study tips from this website this time around. Helpingothersinlife...I have written down all the infection control mnemonics!! They are staying in my purse so I have them with me at all times! My last exam was full of infection control, priority/delegation, and meds. After getting my report in the mail, they only area I did terrible in was basic care! So, in essence, I can save your life but do not ask me for ice chips or a blanket...LOL!
Jadu1106..that was my main problem last time. I don't feel as though I had a clear mindset. There were a hundred things going on and I kept telling myself to reschedule but didn't. I have bad test anxiety so that is a battle in itself! Here's to try number 2!
