Our school has Anatomy and Physio seperate to. I can not imagine why people tell you to take Micro before Physio. I took Physio first, but just because that was the way it worked out. There was nothing from Physio that I needed to know inorder to understand Micro or vise versa. They really are not related that much. My teacher recommends taking Micro and Physio at the same time, because they are so unrelated...so why people are telling you why you need micro first is a mystery to me!

Not sure but my school requires you to take the sciences in this order specifically and only: Human Bio, Chem Organic and Inorganic, A&P 1 and 2 and lastly Microbiology.

Good luck :)

I wouldn't take Micro w/o having had Physio or A&P 2 first. A lot of what I'm learning now is based on physiology. It would be difficult to follow if I didn't know this stuff already.

I would suggest to take BioChem before any of the A&P classes.... students were struggeling with the first test in my A&P 1 class because a lack of Chem knowledge, and I am glad that I already completed both Chem classes. My A&P 1 professor was once a Chem teacher and Loooooooves chemistry. He goes a little overboard with his expectations :uhoh3: He piles the BioChem stuff on us wherever he gets a chance:p I know that he "means well" and is trying to set us up for A&P 2 which is basically the study of how the systems in our body work.... it's basically the study of complicated biochemical processes, and I know I will thank my lucky stars again that I already had Chem.

Just my:twocents:

I honestly don't think it matters. I took Microbiology a long time ago and now I'm taking A & P. They are so different...I don't think one helps the other out.

Thanks for your input, makes me feel better because I still have to take Micro. I am currently in A&P 1 and take A&P 2 next.

Thanks for the info, I am taking it in that order

I don't think it really matters much either. I am in Micro now and have already done my A+P's. My micro class is just going much more in depth into the immune system then A+P ever did so I guess had I reversed them I would have had a leg up on Immune but that's only 1 system out of everything I learned in A+P.

Thanks for the info!

A.

I took both at the same time. It was hard work, but better than taking it with first semester nursing classes. I got an A in both and a few headaches.
