you are to give 1000ml over 10 hrs and you have a drip set of 10. give your answer in a whole number.
welll here is what i did 1000 divided by 10 equals 100 times 10 equals 1000 divided by 60 equals 16.6, now in nursing school i learned to round up, but if you take 17 times 60 you get 1020 which to me is to much your bag will run dry and 16 times 60 in 960..............????? so i answered 16
another question
you are instructing a 10 yr asthmatic on MDI administration, which of the following demonstrates and understanding of the teaching.
a. does not shake the bottle before administering (wrong)
b. holds his breath for 10 sec after administering (5-10 sec ?)
c. waits 3 min between doses (3-5 min ?)
d. was something stupid like answer a
i chose c only because asthmatics hyperventilate so holding their breath for the upper parameter would possibley make them pass out. but technically it is right....damm nclex
