Suzanne's Plan. Sorry to hear you did not pass this time. Hang in there.

Don't give up just hang in there. I to failed the 2nd time. Just take a break and study again, but first you have to figure out where you are weak at and study those areas the most. You will pass, just hang in there!

Yellowrose, don't give up. I know you can do it, you just need to study again. Practice in answering more questions especially delegation and prioritization. The more you practice, the more you get to know the strategies in answering the questions. Good luck and God Bless!

Hang on there. You will pass. Failing Nclex does not make you a loser. You can do it. I know you can do it!!!!!!!

i believe you will pass the next time. just relax for some weeks and pick it up again.

The NCLEX-PN is not easier. I would continue with the RN version until you pass. If you do decide to go the PN route, you need to contact your Board to get an application and start the process all over. Try Suzanne's plan. You can do this.

I agree. Consider using Suzanne's Plan and do consider continuing for the RN.

thank you all so much

The online tutorial through NCSBN I thought was helpul - it has tons of practice questions and they are the ones that write the NCLEX. I thought it was helpful to see their rationales. http://www.learningext.com/students/

Don't give up! Give your mind a rest, you are probably exhausted. Take a few weeks off - eat well, get some exercise and papmer yourself a little. Don't beat yourself up. Then look at your weaker areas, decide how long you want to study and write up a concrete study plan. Maybe find some stress relaxation techniques - stress itself will ruin your concentration.

Good luck!

thank you all so much,i am still feeling so low,it is like you go to 4 years you get good grades(I got Bs in all classess) I got really good clinical reviews,I worked as GN for 2 months precepter said I had great assessment skills, said I was doing good job, then Bam I take nclex get 265 fail wait 2 months take again fail at 160.It is so hard to pick yourself up,I question my abilities now.I have been out of school almost 6 months, everyone else I know passed on first try, what is wrong with me?

thanks for listening it is hard for my family to understand how I feel, how embarrassed I feel.

Hi,

I can understand how embarrassed you feel, it is hard for others who have not gone through this to really understand how it feels. It is like a terrible nightmare, but I want you to know that there is hope and a way out of the mess and horrible feelings you are experiencing. There is nothing wrong with you! the test is hard! you will just have to find it in you, and it is in you to try and understand that monster of a test. Do tons of questions, look at the strategies, they are pointing to ways to crack it. Rationales are also helpful, but combining the strategies will help you look at the questions differently. You can do it! don't doubt yourself, you are a wonderfully intelligent woman that I got to meet personally, You can DO IT!

Please keep your chin up, I know that every thing seems yucky, foggy, and crazy right now, keep hanging in there and become a fellow nurse,

Love ya! YOU CAN!!!!
