Staff visits

What type of note or form do you use for staff visits?

If it's simple BP check I use a BP log, but for more in depth visits I need to find a better method than my nurse's notes log.

I know there are varying opinions about this but the only time I write anything down about staff visits is if I have to send them from work to a/their doctor or out in an ambulance.

The only record that I keep for staff is incident reports.

Same.

This. I don't chart on Blood pressures, temp checks, "check this weird rash".

I don't record anything. Only time things will be written down about employee visits is if they are workman's comp related or if I need to fill out an incident report if an ambulance had to be called.

Staff is added into our SNAP program, so I chart them like a normal visit. Almost every day I have a staff member asking me for a temp/BP/Rash check/etc and I feel like that adds to my case as to why I'm needed on campus. My only gray area is when staff asks for medical advice, I don't chart on that but them but for students I do.

Glad to know I am in good company. I just fear there will be an instance I am asked to provide documentation and I have zero.

Most of the time I am telling a staff member to call their doctor because, well, I am not their doctor.

The fear is real. I chart on those who are in our Skyward system. Cafeteria, sub, and janitorial staff are not in my system so I have a less than stellar Word document that I use.

Yup! I have started telling staff "I don't have (palliative care item you should really keep in your purse) but you can run to CVS on your lunch or conference...."
