Spring 2009 Classes

Maybe it's a bit early, but I am curious as to what classes everyone is planning on taking next semester.

For me:

Anatomy and Physiology II

Microbiology :)

EMT Basic

I didn't take SPanish in high school, so i hope its not too hard...anyone else taking and/or planning on doing an EMT with nursing?

I just finished an EMT Basic course and am due to take the first part of the State Exam (for certification) in a couple of weeks. Gulp! I'm not sure what I will actually do with it yet. I don't think I'm going to be looking for work on an ambulance, although I really enjoyed my ride-alongs and the atmosphere at the ambulance station. Nice people. :redlight: I'd like to work part time as an ER tech, but I don't think the jobs are exactly plentiful out there, and I definitely can't afford to take that kind of job full time because it would be too big a pay cut. The course was interesting though. I figure anything medical has to help--you can't have enough knowledge, right? I think you'll enjoy it. Make sure you line up a reliable "victim" for the practicals, and find yourself a good partner in the class. Good luck!

I am taking Introduction to General, Organic and Biochemistry II along with lab.

I am taking the last of my pre-reqs:

Physiology

Pharmacology

Psychology

and for fun, art history.

Im taking A&P1, Developmental Psych, Western Civ 2 and Chemistry. Whoot, my pre-reqs are almost done!!

Just microbiology! My last one before starting nursing school in the fall!

Here's the line-up so far...

Microbiology

A&P I

Developmental Psych (online)

Counseling Groups (online grad course)

Organizational Development (online grad course)

I'm taking some additional grad level counseling classes to gain eligibility to sit for my LPC license. Good luck to everyone this spring!

us history, microbiology, spanish and general chem

Fortunately, I am limited to taking nutrition and general chemistry! The chemistry is a prerequisite to anatomy and physiology which I will take next semester. And the physiology is a prerequisite to microbiology in the Los Angeles Community College District. I am really looking forward to the Spring semester. Here's to the best of luck to:beer: all of us!!:yeah:

I start January 7.

I'll be taking A & P, computer applications, critical thinking.

hopefully this goes well....ive been outta school sooooo long.

Microbiology Online

I am just taking Microbiology Online at Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey. It includes a lab which is directed through distance learning. You actually get a LabPaq delivered to your home with a cute microscope which is pretty powerful and a mini laboratory. I can't wait to get started. I will be working full time at the nursing home so it is very convenient for me and my "full time" Mom position.

They still have a few spots left if anyone wants to join me. Someone from Germany is actually taking the course! Thats distance education!

Let me know if anyone else will be taking the course.

Thanks
