Spring 2017 Chat

Now that January is here, I thought I'd start a thread where we can support and encourage each other through our Spring semester, similar to our Fall thread, but with a bit more chit chat. What's your schedule look like? Any other goals you're working on?

I go back on the 17th, though I have a Phi Theta Kappa meeting on the 13th.

My schedule is:

A&P II

Microbio

Federal Government

World Religions

The last two are online.

Right now I'm trying to lose this holiday weight, so I've started running again (it burns). I graduate at the end of this year! In December I'll have my EMT-B certification and my Associates of Science in Biology. I'll also be applying to nursing school (application deadline is August 1), so it's going to be a really exciting (busy) year for me! I'm hoping to use my EMT-B cert to become an ED tech during the summers.

I look forward to chatting with you guys this semester!

Does anybody else feel like this semester is just never.going.to.end...? I'm low-key dying over here and I still have 3 weeks to go.

I get to go tour a cadaver lab and touch people bits today. So excited!

I'm actually feeling the opposite, I've got so much left to do and so little time to do it. And I'm technically a week ahead of the schedule. :| These last few weeks will fly by!

how cool, Jen!!

The cadaver lab was AMAZING!! I got to hold a brain. A BRAIN! And lungs, livers, hearts and stuff. And the lady let me cut open a kidney. What an awesome experience that was.

I think that's why I feel like it's never going to end... because I still have SO much to do and it seems like it just keeps going and going like the energizer bunny. haha

Same. I have a ton of stuff to do and not enough time to do it.

I graduate on the 10th and my next class starts on the 22nd. Then the rest of my classes start on June 6th. So I'll be even busier than I am now (four classes total, squished into mini semesters). I will get a bit of a break between July and the start date for the EMT program.

I get a little down when I try to think about summer term. After class starts on the 22nd, every six weeks (roughly) I've got another set of two 8 week classes starting. Hopefully, from the way the syllabus (syllabi?) read, most of them are work at your own pace but meet the deadlines type things. So I'm trying to not get overwhelmed at the overlap too much.

Just a couple more weeks: three exams left and two more assignments for my classes. I don't start summer semester until May 29th and I'll only be taking physiology.

I'm looking forward to registering for autumn semester, registration opens up on the 10th 😊

@Jen so we are definitely going to need a summer thread!

I took my last lab practical for a&p. I got 96, 94, and 96 over the course of them. I am beside myself excited. Now to just finish out the last lecture unit and micro on a high note.

Lab exam last Friday for AP2. Not a fan of the model's, but labeling pictures was easy. 17 wrong is a B- hoping above that.

Wait listed at the CC college. Debating now to retake prereqs for the CC or continue forward take prereqs for other programs. Was going to apply to a private ADN program, but the cost freaks me out.

Thinking of applying to 4 more programs this year.

I just sat down to actually do a test count until graduation and now I'm going a little nuts.

I have 4 A&P II tests left, 3 Micro exams along with my unknowns project and 2 more papers due in Government. In a 2.5 week period.

I can do it!

Maybe.

I'm right there with you Jen. In the next 18 days I have: 2 exams, 1 quiz, and a comprehensive final for A&P, 2 exams and 5 quizzes for Micro, a powerpoint presentation about viruses for Micro, and a comprehensive final for Chem. *dies*

But as long as I don't bomb my last lab practical/lecture exam for A&P and maintain my A, I don't have to take the final. Which will be a major blessing. lol Our unknown project/lab report is due on the 4th for Micro as well but I was super lucky in terms of the direction my tests went and I actually finished during our lab last Thursday and typed up my report over the weekend. So I'm able to hand it in tomorrow and be done with it.

We can do this though!
