SPC fall 2011 nursing program

Hello!

I am finishing up my pre-reqs and will be submitting an application for the fall 2011 start of the nursing program at SPC. I am already super nervous and it seems like the horror stories of rejection due to GPA are getting worse! Is anyone else as nervous as I am?

Congrats to everyone, and keeping my fingers crossed for those still waiting to hear. I'm still in shock that I finally got accepted.

Oh I will!! HEC advisor said letters go out June 1st, so I have awhile to wait now... :/

SPC Student..

I had a 3.76 and was accepted first round but I had all my prereqs finished. Yu should have no problem with the second round once you Micro grades get posted..

Sarah ... any word yet from EAYL?

No not yet...I'm hoping that this will be the week!!

I have been trying to be very patient ... but on Friday I broke down and called the receptionist. She told me that on Thursday, the last person was interviewed for the first round of interviews. She did not see any 2nd interviews scheduled yet on the calendar. She asked if I wanted her to transfer me to TR but I told her that I didn't want to bug her and that I would just continue to wait until they started making calls. Hopefully in the next few days...

Also, during my interview I was told that they were only going to be interviewing about 12 people. I think in an earlier post you mentioned 10-20. Maybe I misunderstood but that would be nice if it is only 12 so that maybe our chances for the remaining 3-4 spots will be better!

Well that does make the odds a little bit better if they are only interviewing about 12 people!

If they just finished up interviews last week then I'm assuming that they won't be making any selections until they've done all the background checks and references...Hopefully later this week or next week we will know more!

I'm being considered for the second pool in May. I've been crunching numbers and grades all morning, and even if I do extra credit in Microbiology I'll still have a B in the class (lab too), and my GPA will go from a 3.5 to a 3.3...What are my chances of being accepted for second pool with that GPA? Slim to none? Say a Hail Mary? Outlook not so good?? What about the Spring semester?
