SPC fall 2011 nursing program

Hello!

I am finishing up my pre-reqs and will be submitting an application for the fall 2011 start of the nursing program at SPC. I am already super nervous and it seems like the horror stories of rejection due to GPA are getting worse! Is anyone else as nervous as I am?

Hello,

What is the point system based off of? I didn't see any point scale on the application? Also, does the GPA based on overall or just the prereqs for the nursing program? thanks for your help!

points are a combination of gpa and completed course work. course work is 60% of the scale or 60 points. gpa is the other 40% or 40 points. a 4.0 gpa = 40 points. gpa is calculated using nursing pre-regs and support classes only. go to the hec section of the spc website and you'll find a gpa calculator.

it's getting very difficult to get into the program without having all your course work done. most people admitted into the program have all their course work done and a gpa of 3.7 or better.

thank you for the quick reply - thankfully I do have my pre and supporting course work done, just wasn't sure of the GPA portion - will go there right now! THANKS AGAIN!
