Nope.
You have to go to LPN school to become an LPN.
The medication aide is something COMPLETELY different. Medication aide jsut allows a CNA to pass certain meds in certain environments (depending on BON) but they are still CNAs.

It takes completing an entire LPN course and then sitting (AND passing) the state boards (NCLEX-PN) to become a licensed practical nurse...no short cuts around it.
Indeed!!! I keep thinking the NCLEX part is understood.
Every medical profession seems to have that final government mandated exam to become whatever it is they are trying to become.

That's ok. Just today I had someone tell me he was "almost" an LPN. "Almost?" I ask...and the response is "well, I just have one more course to go". "Oh? What course? Do you graduate soon?" Response: "I haven't started the program yet, so I have the LPN course to go...."
Yes, that's right. The 'one course' this guy needed to claim "his" LPN license was the entire program. Sigh.

The OP wrote in another post "Is a CNA and a LPN the same thing."
Either the OP is very young or just does not understand the path to becoming a nurse.

CNA course = A CNA
LPN course = An LPN
A medication aide course = A medication aide.
