So tired.....

I start the school year all energized and ready to save the world! By this time (15 days to go)......I feel like I can barely lift my pen! I smile at the kids and do what I need to do. But inside - I am thinking. Why, why are YOU in here again?? Plus, I have my handful that try to do anything they can for a pass home and smiling at them is really hard. They have never succeeded, why do they keep trying????:yawn:

Summer is my sanity saver!!!!!!

Ugh. I just sent one of my frequent flyers back to class again. She came in twice since lunch with gas pains. I gave her the lecture about growing up means learning how to deal with little aches and pains, yada yada...We have 18 days left...and counting!

i'm right there with ya ! i feel less patient, feel grouchy and just plain tired this time of year. teacher's are getting on my last nerve also :coollook:

hang in there. not much longer to go. then....you can sleep in late, do what you want and just kick back and enjoy the fruits of your labor !!

thank you! thank you! thank you!

this is my first year as a school nurse, and i was thinking there was something wrong with me because i feel the same way! thanks to everybody for saving my sanity! :yeah:

I hear ya!!!! We have an interim principal and his way is different from what we are used to, so this year is especially stressed for me. Not to mention that they will be hiring our new principal next week for next school year. I will have had 5 principals in 2 years if it is someone new. (2 schools- cover both) I hate the not knowing andthe idea of change. It really chapps my hide that people want to come in and change everything. We are a small school and this guy has come out of retirement from a big school. Not to mention that I never know where I will be from one year to the next, or what I will be doing. In my system nurses hold many job titles, I have worked with special needs students as an aide, worked in the computer lab and all this on top of being responsible for all health issues for 2 schools when most of the time I am only allowed to be at 1 school.

Needless to say, I am ready for SUMMER VACATION!

I have 8 more days !!!! Not counting weekends/ holiday/ and professional development days. My last Day is May 27 ! To be honest I can't wait ! :dncgbby: Working in the health room is not for me, but I am thankful for my time here at my current job. OB and Labor/Delivery here I come !

14 days and counting!!! I am SO ready for summer break to recharge and find my "sweet self"! Every morning I tell myself, "ok, today I will not get grouchy"--has not worked yet!! I need a break!!

Only 11 more days for me! I used to work a year round job and frankly I don't know how I did it! This is my first full year of school nursing and lately I've been thinking I might have made a mistake-everyone is all stressed out and I'm grouchy-my new mantra for May is "go to class, Go To Class, GO TO CLASS!" Well this will be me in a few more days Happy Summer everyone!

i will definitely be visiting you all every day. just when i thought i was at my breaking point you all step in and helped me make it to the end. idk i may end up as a school nurse someday later, but i won't discount it. maybe i'll try middle or highschool... i just don't think elementary was my nitch. thanks for wishing me well for the upcoming wedding. i'm so nervous yet excited.

god bless you all. you all are wonderful and competent nurses. i've learned so much here as a school health aide and future nurse.

I'm waiting for every Friday.

This weekend we pack.

Next weekend we move my husband and daughter.

Every weekend after that I will go visit (hopefully hit the road as soon as I can after school gets out) and then once school is out I move down there too!

Only 5 more days and it seems like my whole school has went crazy. Fighting, hitting windows, the kids can't wait but what they do not realize the teachers are just as ready if not more ready than them.

My only sanity right now is being able to go to my son's little league games. My daughters are through for the moment.

If I can only survive 5 more days, then I can refresh and come back to school a better nurse. That is what I am aiming to get out of my state nurses conference.

Ugh, I have so many more days than you all have! :sniff: We still have 15! But it appears, thank goodness, that we will not have to make up the week that we were off for the swine flu hysteria. Thank God for small miracles! I sure would have thought they would have made us make up the week, then I would be here until the middle of June! Aargh!
