So why are you here, really?

AN allows us to do a lot of things.

I love stories--love to hear 'em, love to tell 'em, and especially love having a community of nurses who are fascinated by stories about bodily fluids/functions (rather than horrified).

It's also a great way to stay awake and entertained the night before or after a night shift.

So, fellow members, why are you here?

Forgot to add an option for "I have a burning desire to complain anonymously about my clinicals/peers/job/patients, and AN seems like the most appropriate place to do it."

All of the above !!

Speaking of which, I keep getting advertisements in my AN notification emails that say "Date Mature Men: No Games, Just Real Men Looking for Faithful Women." And a picture of a silver-haired cowboy.

And I'm 26.
