well for me it's going pretty good. so far i have an A in f.o.n., A&P, finished my pvc class with a high B. my first three nutrition tests were super easy. i can't understand why some of my classmates are having a tuff time with any of this. i can relate to outside obligations but they knew the program would be intense. we all started out doing well then two dropped and a few may be administrativly dropped if the dont bring up their grades.
so tell me how is it going for the rest of you in lpn school?

I gaduate next week and kept a A to a A+ average
We started with 38 and are graduating 17
omg! are you serious? wow that is a lot but not too surprising though. it was 26 in our class now we're down to 24 and may go lower if the others dont get their grades up soon.
Congratulations on making it through. you're almost there.

We finish our first semester in the next two weeks. So far, other than being extrememly stressful at times, everything is going good. We started with 52 and are down to 38. We will see how many are dropped at the end of semester for not maintaining grades.

Pretty good, my grades have remained anywhere from an 86-100 on major exams since I started nine months ago. We have about 10 more weeks. Started out with 80 in August for the PM program and are down to 62. Eight were dropped this semester for... I'll just say disobeying the handbook.

I'm doing great. I just finished up with my first trimester. I did great in all my classes. This has been a very intense 4 months. We will be out next week then we start with second trimester and will start clinicals the second week back:) I'm so nervous yet so excited.
I'm so glad to read that everyone is doing well in the program. i was really stressing out when we first started but got it under control. i can't wait until we have our break in two months, i could really use a vacation right about now.

all your current LPN students, is med surg hard? I have been hearing that a lot of people give up around this time?? What is course like?
I'm in Med surg 2 and I have to admit its very time consuming. Hard No, alot of info. and studying yes ! There are a few people in Med surg 1 and 2 that don't pass, you have to be really organized and dedicated to studying. There are lots and lots of drugs to know, that may be the most challenging.
Its bearable, Good luck.
hey lvaliav, i would like to know that as well. i'm a former rn student and got out in the middle of my first med-surg class because i couldnt handle all the reading, doing care plans, clinical prep, etc. then i had other issues too. and you are absolutely right about students giving up in med-surg. it is very intense lots of info to know. these are classes that will make or break you as a student nurse.
