Hard to say...many factors...IV meds? Rehab? Ask your MDS nurse.

just g tube feeding , wound care for stage 4 decubitus (debride) .no other services. this patient is in a nursing home and was recently discharged from hospital......medicare is paying for skilled nursing care for limited time

Many, many factors are involved with Medicare rates. There are even different rates for the same care based on whether the facility is in a rural or urban area. (In Texas, anyway.) I suggest asking your facility MDS nurse or even the Business Office Manager for specifics in your area. The therapy dept. may be able to assist you as well.

i dont want to ask them.

any idea approximately ??

As the others have said, it depends on many factors....also is there therapy, what's the ADL score, where are you located, etc. usually can range from $300 -$550/day based on these many factors. Your MDS coordinator will know the answer to your question.

Why?

Now this is sounding like a homework assignment.

Why? I don't recall anything remotely related to Medicare reimbursement in school.

If you really need to know pull yourself up by your bootstraps, smile and walk into your MDS nurses office and ask.

If this is homework just say that.

this is a forum. posters ask questions and those who feel like contributing offer answers. those who don't generally bypass the post.

People are giving you the best source of information and you're refusing to utilize it, so don't be surprised (or get snarky) if people blow you off.
