Are you being pressured to act unethically? Are you being written up or having your employee record tarnished for nitpicky issues and/or being threatened with these types of things? Can you perform your duties in a manner that is generally safe for patients?
What else is going wrong? We all have our things we don't tolerate, but if you can do your job safely and none of the above is happening, I would think about whether it's possible to rise above the fray before deciding to leave. Can you make it work by being determined to not react negatively to what is going on around you, and not take personal offense but just focus on doing your duties pleasantly and let others worry about their own problems?
I'm not saying you aren't acting right or aren't thinking about this correctly. Just saying to think it through. There are benefits to having a side job.
Well, that depends. How do you feel about being super busy in a toxic environment?
If you like it, then it's a no brainer.
If not, balance that against how much you need the money.
For example, if loan sharks are going to kneecap you without this extra income, I would recommend keeping it due to the anticipated income loss during your recovery.
On the other hand, if this side job pays for 12 dollar shots of tequilla, switch to cheap beer and quit.
Kind of tough to weigh in on this with the information provided.
Is this yet another job where you're having issues or the same one you've mentioned in other posts, where you've received plenty of feedback? If you are having issues in multiple places, you have got to look at yourself and what you are bringing to the workplace. If it's happening in multiple places, it's statistically unlikely that every workplace you've experienced is a bad workplace.
