  1. Hi everyone! ? I wanted to start a new thread for anyone applying (or who has already applied) to Montclair State University's Direct Entry MSN Pre-Licensure program. I recently submitted my application and have one remaining prerequisite that I'll be finishing up by the end of this month. If any current or past students have insights about the program, please feel free to share your experiences or advice below! For those applying this cycle, let's use this thread to share updates and stay connected throughout the process. Looking forward to hearing from you all — and hopefully meeting some of you in the program soon!
  2. Online MSN programs without clinical hours can be a strong fit for nurses moving into education, informatics, leadership, or other non-clinical roles. These programs focus on how care is organized and improved, with coursework in areas like policy, curriculum design, quality improvement, and healthcare technology. This guide reviews online MSN programs without clinicals for 2026 and explains what each track prepares you to do. It also clarifies what "no clinicals" means, since some programs still require applied projects or leadership-based work. Use it to compare formats, outcomes, and fit for your next move. Snapshot: Best Online MSN Programs Without Clinicals (2026) Duke University (Durham, NC): Online MSN options in leadership, informatics, and education with no direct patient care hours and a focus on systems, data, or teaching roles. University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA): Hybrid MSN in Nursing and Healthcare Administration focused on leadership, finance, and quality improvement without bedside clinicals. George Washington University (Washington, DC): Online MSN in Nursing Leadership and Management with coursework centered on policy, strategy, and organizational leadership. Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, AZ): Online MSN in Nursing Informatics focused on health data, systems design, and technology-driven roles, without patient care clinicals. These programs do not lead to APRN licensure and do not include direct patient care clinical hours. Some include applied projects or leadership-based practicums instead of bedside rotations.
  3. Could only find CRNA threads, but I applied to Boston College's PNP-PC Program for Fall 2026 and wanted to start a thread for those who also applied to any non-CRNA programs. Best of luck everyone!
  4. Hi all, Just received my acceptance letter today for Spring of 2026 for Duke's MSN - AGACNP program. Curious if anyone else out there would like me to start a FB group?? I am very interested if anyone knows the curriculum plan of study. If it's part-time/full-time, etc... I have scoured their website to no avail. Thanks in advance!! Amy
  5. Has anyone heard about the new St. Thomas University FNP program, Miami Gardens? Is it accredited? Anyone in the program?
  6. Hello. I was recently admitted into Herzing University's online direct entry Master's in Nursing program. I was wondering if anyone else has been admitted into the program? Also, can any current or former Herzing students share their experience with the nursing program? How are the distance education classes and how supportive are the faculty/staff? I am trying to decide if I will attend or enroll in a community college/state school program. Thanks for your time.
  7. Hi everyone! I wanted to start a forum for anyone applying to the Samuel Merritt University ELMSN-FNP/CM for Fall 2025 in Oakland! I am currently applying and if anyone wants to share anything feel free to do so! Also good luck to everyone applying ?
  8. Hello everyone! I wanted to start a forum for those applying to the ELMSN FNP or CM program at Samuel Merritt for 2025! I am currently applying to the ELMSN FNP in Sacramento which should be starting in January 2025. If anyone is also applying (either location) for the beginning of 2025 please reply and share any thoughts and questions! ?
  9. Hi everyone, I am an RN ready to pursue my BSN (and possibly MSN), and I just discovered Capella University's online flexpath program. The way it's designed seems so perfect for me and I really want to do it. I read all the previous threads about this, but I have more questions! If there is anyone out there who is enrolled in this program, your input would be very much appreciated, even more so if you've successfully graduated and are now using your degree! My main concern is the very shady things I've read online about Capella not letting people graduate at the last minute, ripping people off, pulling a "bait and switch" with programs, and overall being a total criminal scam (none of these claims were about the Nursing program, most were Psychology). Normally I'd walk away, but I'm so intrigued by the equal amount of wonderful reviews I've been reading, and I really WANT to believe that this program exists the way the school describes it. I'm just concerned (and perhaps paranoid) that maybe all the great "reviews" are somehow paid for by Capella. So, for the real people out there who have done it: what is the catch? do books cost more than usual to make up for the cheap flat rate tuition? do employers take a degree from this place seriously? is the program rigorous enough so that you feel prepared for the next career step? Any feedback would be so wonderful!
  10. I'm wondering if anyone can give some updated light on which school (Capella vs WGU) would be better to attend. Are there discussion boards, group projects, and how many papers for each class?
  11. Hi everyone! I just wanted to start this forum for people who applied to Penn's Summer 2025 MSN Program!
  12. Hi, has anyone applied for this program? or has anyone been accepted?
  13. Hi! I wanted to start a forum for people applying to UPenn's MSN program for Fall 2025. Which program are y'all applying to? Please post if anyone hears anything so we can keep each other updated!!
  14. Hello All, I recently just applied to Marquette University and I just wanted to create a forum for other applicants for the Summer of 2024. Also, if there are current students in the program, I would appreciate some insight on this program as well. Thank you!
  15. Hi everyone! I'm starting this thread for applicants to Emory's MN to MSN Pathway program as the August 1st deadline is almost up!
  16. I am interested in both schools at this point! Fort Hays requires the MAT (which is way better for me than the GRE) and is only $235.50 a credit hour for the MSN! American Sentinel has no testing requirements and is $450 a credit hour. I have been accepted at Excelsior College (where I earned my ASN and BSN from!), at $480 a credit hour. Although, I loved Excelsior I want to make sure I am happy with the curriculum and requirements! Cost can be a major issue as well! I just wanted some students opinions of these two schools! Thanks in advanced!
  17. Is there anyone out there applying to the direct entry MSN program at Simmons? I will be attending the program beginning this summer (2012). I went to Simmons for my undergrad, so I've been living in Boston for 6 years and am well-aquainted with the area. I currently live in Brighton (about a 15 minute drive from the campus). I would love to talk to anyone applying to the program!!!! Chantelle [email protected]
  18. I am writing to see if anyone has attended or heard good things about Maryville University's FNP program? They are starting a new online FNP program next year, but am kind of leery because I am not able to find much about the program. Also, does anyone know where I might find FNP certification pass rates per university?
  19. Hey everyone! I was interested in the FNP program at Cox College in Missouri and I'm a little worried. Not sure what to expect. For my Nursing school my GPA was 3.1, but my prerequisites GPA was 3.71. So they should a great about 3.4 GPA. What can I expect from the school? Any previous or current students shed any light on what they like or dislike about the program? Any information will be appreciated.
  20. For prospective applicants for the 2017 year in the Vanderbilt MSN program. Being as I am currently wait listed in the 2016 year due to a very late application, there is a high probability I would have to apply again come November 1st 2016 for the following year acceptance. November 1st, 2016 is the priority application deadline for the 2017 year. All materials (GRE, official transcripts, application payment, letters of recommendation, statement of intent) must have been submitted by this date. Letters of acceptance for August 2016 orientation and start were sent out the first week of February 2016. Wait listed recipients received their wait list offer in an around the first week of March 2016 with the caveat that seats may open well into late July.
  21. Hi~ Anyone else out there applying to JHU's MSN program for Fall 2016? Haven't seen any threads on it yet.. Thought we could go through the process together :)
  22. Hi! Wondering if anyone else applied to Duke's online MSN program? I applied for the AGNP track. Thought we could go through the gruesome wait process together :)
  23. Does anyone have information on Delta State's FNP program? I understand that it's completely online. I was told that they only received approximately 40 applications this year. That's a rather low number. Has anyone gone through the program or know anyone who has?
