Scrub skirts Nurses

The only hospital workers I see in skirts are the occasional attending on a service that doesn't require hands on care... and those with desk jobs: secretaries, managers, schedulers, etc.

Everyone else wears scrub pants or slacks.

Skirts seem impractical.

Some people need to wear skirts for religious/modest dress reasons.

I wear them for religious beliefs. Just wish they weren't so hard to find.

At first they hurt my feet and my legs ached after just a few hours but once broken in I love them to death!!

I agree, the Dankso's take some breaking in. Allegria is one that is popular around here, they don't seem to have the same break-in time.

Honestly, the girls I knew who wore them for religious reasons stopped wearing them. It was too much of a pain with patient care and during emergencies it made it hard to run, move and jump on beds. They usually just bought pants and altered them to a skirt....but they all stopped and went to pants.

Where I am, I've seen flyers for custom scrubs that individuals make at home to sell. If you could find a good seamstress, maybe you could take a skirt you like to them to use as a pattern and get as many as you need.

I am pretty sure she asked for recommendations for a scrub skirt. She did not ask what you thought of her religious restrictions. She did not ask whether you thought skirts were impractical. I know it is hard to believe but for some people every action, moment, day is dictated by their religion. If it is not part of your world you just won't understand it.

What are you talking about? Nobody attacked. I simply stated what I have seen and then told her what I know they did for a skirt while they wore them. If every action is dictated by region for you...you might want to consider why you posted this? Nobody questioned her. I certainly didn't. You need to calm it down a little.

Dreaming4acute87. Thanks. I did see that site. I've actually ordered the cherokee on off of eBay and love it. I've ordered more on a scrub site but they are on backorder. Love they way cherokee fit.

I did feel kind of attacked but I guess I must be use to it. People are always trying to tell you their opinion of wearing just skirts. Unless you know the reason and meaning of it no one understands. Wearing skirts have never been a hindrance or unpractical in anyway. I don't judge people who just wear pants.
