i get so depress when i can't keep my bedroom like i want it. i do better studying in a relaxed atmosphere and this happens to be my bedroom. books, books and more books slowly but surely are taking over the room. :)

I hired a maid!!! I figured that during exam time I will stop studying so that I can clean/straighten. This will give me more time to study and play with my little one. Well worth the money!!! I feel better already. (my present to myself)
kitty, what a present it is!

It's well deserved when you think how much us nursing students have to do ... study... clinicals....tests....labs....be a fun mommy....deal with every day life .....
hmmm.... maybe that's what people should get for you when they find out that you've been accepted to nursing school.

I clean on my vacations...and my house is usually trashed during the quarter. I do the occasional load of dishes and usually cook once a week. My husband is not a happy camper during the school year.

I am feeling the same way that you do LPN,future,RN....my house looks like a tornado hit it with all the papers and books and folders lying about. I am not going to stress over it, this too shall pass. I am just trying to remember where I hid things from the kids so that I can go and find them again!
Anyone have a highlighter?? Oh and where is my penlight???
UGH!

Excellent advice! It took me awhile to be able to do that though!

The house is so hard to keep up with. Everyday, I say, I need to something with this house, but get the important things done and go on to the next day especially spending time with the kids. My house is always trashed these days it seems. I understand about the books also. I feel like they are everywhere. Every few days, I organize them so it doesn't look so bad.
I guess the next few years will be this way.

The house is defientely as clean as it use to be... however my husband has taken over a lot of the cleaning... like vacumming! which is a big help! The children have also pitched in.... as best as they can! Until I graduated... that's the way it will be....

This thread made me laugh! Last night we were watching old reruns of the Newlywed Game and one of the questions was "What type of housework does your wife do just like she makes whoopie?" :rolleyes:My boyfriend started laughing and asked out loud if we were allowed to use ancient history for the answer!!!
Housework? What's that???

It's a "woman" thing. I'm the same way. I feel like I can't study until everything is in place. I have to study at school... When I go home, everything comes to life! The dishes say " Oh, good! your home; we need washing." Although my washer and dryer are in the garage, I can hear them calling me.
Yeah, we all struggle with it. You just have to remember, the housework will always be there. Years down the road, when you're a nurse, you won't even remember how bad the house was while you were in school and chances are no one else in the family will remember either.

I have this motto: If no one else will do I do it when I CAN:rolleyes:
If my hubby doesn't feel like doing it I don't stress him out either I just do it in due time. My son comes first and everything for him is always taken care of. So if the dishes are not done yet they will sit there until one of us has the time. Oh and during school year I guess we don't have a lot of visitors either...:chuckle
