Saunders Study Exams

Hi all-

I'm scheduled to take NCLEX next month and have been studying with Saunders 5th addition. I've been doing the 100 question exams on the CD and have been averaging around 70%. Is that good? Has anyone passed the NCLEX on Saunders alone?

Thanks!

Congrats on passing the first time!!! Did you do any of the tests on the CD? If you don't mind me asking, what was your average score?

You mean besides me? :-p ha just kidding I just saw your post and decided to comment. Hey that sounds good both me and the other person only did Saunders and we both got 75 and passed! You are on the right track!

this is the right tools. I faild three times before I found that book. I did the same thing with the cd every day. When I went to take my board for the 4th time it was so easy and I passed. make sure not to mix with any other book. Double check the bold boxes in each chapter. trust me you will pass. good luck:yeah:

I gave my line sister my Saunder's book to help her study MedSurg (she is a yr behind me) and sadly forgot to get it back before I moved home after graduation, but I'm using the CD.

5th edition? Then why on earth did I get the 4th edition last week?

If you are taking the exam in 2009, it's the 4th edition that you need to study.

The introductory section in Saunders explains it further.

Oops, I have the 4th edition which is the latest. Sorry about any confusion. This is what happens when you don't get enough sleep.

When I used Saunders' CD, my avg score was in the 70s. I had the comprehensive study guide...that book is so big though that I mostly reviewed content I was weak in...then I also had the Saunders Q & A book and I did all of the questions and made sure to review the rationale for the answers...when I got to the NCLEX, personally I thought it was a test you could really never study all the content for, however, if you've been taught how to read the questions and answer them, that was what counted. Saunders is a great help in learning how to answer the questions. I think a lot of NCLEX was strategy! and it was the 4th edition I used!
