Samford Interviews

congrats on being accepted!! Can you tell us what the interviewers said to you during your interviews, it would kind of help us gauge where we stand with our interviews and pending admission status. Again, congrats on your acceptance.

Thats just their lame way of saying thanks , but no thanks. I got the same letter. We will be considered if someone that has been accepted goes somewhere else instead, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that. Congrats to those that were accepted.

I thought the letters were going out the 17??

It is my understanding that this is an "Alternante" letter. Many people who interveiw at Samford will aslo interveiw with UAB in the next week or so. If they are accepted to both programs and then chose UAB then you may have a chance. I know its a long shot...but it is still a possibility! Dont; forget to talk to the Director and see what could make you a stronger applicant the next go around.

Congrats to those of you who got in. When is the deadline that you have to accept or decline the offer for admission?

That was some quick replies. I didn't think the letter were to be mailed out until the 19th or 20th. I am still waiting.

I was so dissapointed tuesday. I got the alternate list. God, I hope UAB accepts some of the people on Samford acceptance list :chuckle

I guess it was not a bad start. One down, One more to go. I have an interview next week with another school.

I really liked Samford. Maybe a miracle will happen.

I called the Director for this reason and he told me that they didn't do "after action" reviews. He suggested that I decide for myself what my weakness is. I was surprised to get such an unprofessional response from what seemed to be a top notch establishment. I called one of the interviewers...she said she would get back to me in a few weeks. That doesn't inspire much faith.

Sandman, I am a junior student in Samford's CRNA program and I can tell you that a few of my classmates were on the alternate list last year. So do not give up hope and good luck to you on your future interviews.
