Samford Interviews

Has anyone interviewed at Samford yet? If so, how was it? Did you like the school, the instructors, the campus? How do you think you did?

Also, if you are also applying to UAB, what is your first choice?

Good luck to all of you!

I'm still in the mix til mid-January.

berry--are you still being considered or did you get a denial letter?

Hello everyone!! I interviewed at Samford on December 8th it was a great experience. I got my letter of early acceptance on December 14th. :rotfl: The staff was great and the interview was low key. Good luck to everyone interviewing in January.

I am interviewing at Samford on January 10th. I am so nervous. My 2 interviews with UAB last year went great I thought but maybe this will be the year!

Congrats to all of you who got into Samford.

I graduated from Samford in May 2005.

It is the most awesome nursing school.

They require professionalism and commitment to your studies. Try not to be employed if you can get away without working - some of the smartest students worked and some failed exams due to the rigor.

Since working after I graduated I've had so many people where I work and where I interviewed comment on how professional Samford nurses are and how well they are prepared for nursing.

Good luck guys! It is a beautiful campus!

My interview at Samford was absolutely pleasant to say the least. All of the interviewers were extremely nice. If you are interviewing tomorrow, my advice is to be yourself and dont get anxious. It is a very easy process. There were no clinical questions. In my opinion, they were able to gauge clinical competency through hearing you explain the most involved patient that you treated recently.

I really did enjoy the interview. The faculty seemed really interested in me personally and professionally, and that made a great impression. I am still interviewing at UAB in a few weeks, and plan to keep an open mind. But, after meeting the people at Samford that is becoming very difficult.

well,

The interview went well. Everyone their was so very nice. I loved Birminham and Samford was so majestic.

All the canidates were really nice and it was pleasure to meet them.

I am waiting on pins and needles for the 20th. I interview elsewhere in a couple weeks, but Samford made it very hard to consider anywhere else. God, I hope I get in there.

The interviewing process was so easy going. The faculty made it more of a get to know Samford rather than lets trick this applicant and see if he or she will mess up. Not at all the firing squad as I had experienced with UAB in the past. Co workers that interviewed early and didn't get in even felt it was a great experience. I really hope I get in!!!!!;)
