Samford Interviews

Published

Has anyone interviewed at Samford yet? If so, how was it? Did you like the school, the instructors, the campus? How do you think you did?

Also, if you are also applying to UAB, what is your first choice?

Good luck to all of you!

I interviewed with Samford on Monday. It was a great experience (would have been better if they had given me a seat in next years class that day ooohhh the waiting lol) I met with five interviewers and talked with two current students who were in the building for something else but stopped by and talked with some of us interviewing. The interviews were relaxed. Samford continues to impress me from the help provided while applying to the way the interviews were held everyone has gone the extra step to help applicants. The campus and school of nursing are unreal compared to schools I attended. This was the first interview for Crna School I have had so I do not have much for comparison.

It's a great place and a great program! I don't regret attending Samford for one minute.

Sprout :nurse: (11 days to graduation and counting.....)

guys,

I am interviewing the week of 1/09/2005 through 1/15.

Can you give me some info on what was asked of you and some information about the school.

SRNA's Can you please tell me what you like/dislike about the program. I really would love to make it there.

Daniel

please feel free to email me, P.M me or what ever.

I just interviewed today and I must say I am really impressed with the school, the instructors, the students that I met, and the whole process in general. They are more interested in you as a person and want to know how determined an individual you are and if you would make a good student. They didn't ask me 1 clinical question. Another applicant did get asked some clinical questions though, so it is hit or miss I think.

I am impressed....I hope to get accepted.

I set up my interview with Samford on the 9th of Jan. I was told that 11 people would be interviewing at the same time. For those who have already interviewed..how many applicants interviewed with you? I am just curious to know how many they are interviewing in all.

Specializes in ER, NICU.

I recently graduated from Samford's BSN program. It is an AWESOME nursing school, the instructors are most excellent, the program is fair, produces PROFESSIONAL nurses.

If you are planning on going further up the ladder in nursing, Samford would be a great investment.

It isn't cheap. It is private...but I must say it was an HONOR to be a nursing student at Samford University. One of the classiest nursing schools available.

It is top notch. They prepare you very well. I think it has a 99.2% pass rate on the NCLEX - first try.

We had 8 interview today.

I'm guessing they are interviewing about 60 applicants and accepting around 20.

I am surprised that they are only going to take 5-8 with this first group. I am pretty much expecting to get denied.

I would be very surprised to get the early selection as well. I think all of the early applicants had very good credentials and they said they would only be offering early selection to about 10% of early interviewees. If I get a letter stating that they will consider me with the January group I will be disappointed, but will attempt to stay positive (which as you know is hard to do!).

Did they say when they are going to send out letters?
