Same ol' waiting game

Published

Hello! I've been stalking this site for a couple yrs. now, just registered. Finally applied to an AccelBSN. My first degree was in 2005. Long story short nursing was my original major, but I switched b/c I was intimidated by the science courses. Now I'm taking the same courses I was afraid to take back then. More mature now, I actually study. I'm one of the smart kids in my science classes, who knew? Now I'm chomping at the bit to see if I got into my program, I've only applied to the one school I've been eyeing since 2006. This has been such a long time coming, I started working towards this goal when I obtained my stna the 1st time in my junior year in high school and worked in a nursing home. Worked in a hospital as a tech during undergrad 1st go round for 3 yrs. Back in a hospital this go round. Any day now.....The wait, the wait....what to do with my waking hours when I'm not working, studying, exercising, hanging out with love ones, dating? kissing babies. Seriously, I think about it non-stop.

I just took my Hesi on saturday, and now yesterday and today I am so lost on what to do with my free time....I have mostly been here on all nurses..lol I am a stay-at-home mom so I'm sure I will find some cleaning to keep me busy! LOL

Good luck with nursing school! I hope you get in!

That is the secret... kissing babies. Kissing babies brings good karma and guarantees you to get accepted :)

If this is true, I am guaranteed acceptance! I have a 2 and 1 year old! hehe! ;)

Right! I hope so. I have 2 newborns in the family this week. :-)

They contact the qualified applicants the end of Feb. if they get an interview. It's less than 2 wks. Hope to get the call or letter this week.

Leostar,

I'm in the same boat. Waiting to find out if I will get an interview and the wait is driving me crazy, too. I actually contacted the nsg program and asked when they would be notifying applicants. Yeah, I'm THAT type of person.

I am with you! I have been obsessing about this for a while. Received my acceptance last week. I only applied to one ABSN program and am thrilled and beyond grateful to have been accepted. Now to finish pre req"s and figure out the financing...

Good luck to you!

Congratulations, margotrita on your acceptance!
