awww.... :(

its really hard to live in a third world country.

i'd rather use the term developing country the the third world... heheheheh

:idea:

Just a quick up date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just called the embassy (London) to ask for an up date.

They said all my files received end of Aug it then takes 4 weeks for them to get onto their system.

(Mine went onto the system Sept 11)

Then the operator said it takes about 12 weeks to process and we should hear with an interview date after this time.

They are working on all priority dates at the moment and she did not see any hold ups.

I did mention the word "Retrogression" a couple of time and she did not comment.

If you look at the most recent Visa bulletin you'll see that all visas in the category that is used by us nurses are marked as "U", which equals unavailable. Unless you've already had a visa allocated to you - ie you're about to interview, then you'll be sitting waiting with the rest of us to see what happens when the Senate gets back into action again.

Lets hope that when they do get going properly again there'll be some good news. Until then forget about it & just concentrate on getting everything that you can together e.g VisaScreen & other such paperwork, so that you can get things moving quickly once retrogression is lifted.

Ann I hope you're one of those lucky ones whose paperwork was recieved in time! XX

I agree with you RGN1 I have seen the bulletin "U"

I am not the only one who is on the same timeline to be told this by London.

Just have to sit and wait.

We are already to go.

Visa screen etc with a file ready to take to embassy with every cert incl police check.

House is now sold contents export wrapped ready to go and only have the cottage we are renting until Feb 1 then homeless.

The weather should be getting better then perhaps we can find a caravan for the summer:scrying: :scrying:

A good reason to wait until visa is in hand before disposing of your house. Hope it doesn't take too long for you!

It took 9 months for us to sell it.

We are really glad it is sold so we can buy a new home in FL when the time comes.

we too have sold our house with an unsteady market would rather have sold before visa than after and find that it takes too long to sell. One of the conditions is not to complete until the end of Jan 07 hopefully heard about visas but if not will sort something temp until we do hear something

What are the months that constitute summer and spring?

What are the months that constitute summer and spring?

In the US?

Spring= March, April and May

Summer= June, July and August.

Depending on where you are in the country it might still be snowing or very cold in March... or it might be very hot by May!

Florida is "warm" all year. At least snowbirds will think it warm. You just have to worry about hurricanes and rainstorms. Snow in Texas is also a rarity.

Thank you for your reply. So I guess, I have to wait longer for this retrogression relief. According to some of them it will come on summer of 2007. I am hoping that the relief will come sooner.

A new Congress will be sworn in in January. You should hear real rumblings on the immigration issue by Spring/Summer. Chances are slim anything will be done before then since this Congress is on the way out and considered a "lame duck".

Retrogression won't last forever. It may seem like a big ordeal now, but those that remain patient and get all their ducks in a row will make it to the US.:balloons:

I like the way you put it.
