Are you suggesting that the possession of propofol is legal? If the "old coworker" had a prescription, possibly, but I'must not aware of any state in which this is done.

Propofol is not actually a controlled substance. While it doesn't fall under diversion of a controlled substance, it's still potentially grounds for termination (theft) and a BON might not necessarily turn a blind eye just because it's not controlled.

No, she's saying that by using the word "caught" the OP is already saying that the guy didn't possess something legally. you can't be "caught" doing something legal, that's the point.
no matter whether the coworker was old or young (bad joke, ok) how did he get "caught at his house" in the first place? Was this some kind of raid?
Sounds like your old/young friend needs a lawyer, not a message board. You should tell him that.
I'm not suggesting that ...the opposite, actually. Nobody gets "caught" with Tylenol. "Caught" implies wrongdoing of some sort.

There is an investigation in progress. Co-worker has been found with propofol in their home.
How does ANYONE have propofol in their possession ..without diversion?
Maybe Michael Jackson has this answer.

Since this is under investigation and AN can't provide legal advice, closing this.
