Yes indeed it happens everywhere! It is not the place it occurs it is merely the person and their attitude toward life! The person is more than likely the same no matter who they are dealing with.

Notifying M.D. was mandatory in our facility. And if doc gets upset, too bad, that's their job! Always document you contacted doc too, just in case there's a problem.

You know in situations such as that if you are trained, it is rather hard to sit there and worry about doc order. You do what you need to and I find it hard to believe anyone would fault you. You could have done nothing, would you feel better?
