  1. I work 5 days a week (8 hr shifts) if I find someone to swap with I end up working a 16 hr shift (mine +theirs) and end up only having to work 4 days. A nurse cannot swap until they have worked there for 1 year.
  2. For sure I shower after, I have a separate hamper for my scrubs that I keep outside as well as my shoes. I also spray my shoes down.
  3. I didn't know you can ask them those questions
  4. *Major tears * I also have always wanted to be a burn nurse. I was not the burn victim but I was the 7 year old girl taking care of my mother with over 80% burns. My older siblings were too grossed out to change her dressings so I was in charge of dressing changes and applying and taking off her body suit (and the skin that came off with it) I have wanted to be a nurse since I was 4 but the experience I had with my mom's doctors and nurses solidified my decision to become a nurse. I'm 31 and have been a nurse for 9 years and love it!
