Hi everyone! Congratulations on your acceptances. I'm hoping some of you guys come back and share what the first week of orientation was like (how the instructors are, things your learning in lecture and what the SIM lab is like). I'm a current nursing student in my final semester looking to apply to an upcoming cohort of the critical care fellowship program. I am also looking for a mentor if anyone is interested---or anyone that is open to the occasional question as I go along my way. Thank you and good luck.

I'm not sure if the cancer thing is true, but your chances of heart problems increase when working nights.

My rule for every job that I've had and will have in the future is that I ALWAYS keep my work life separate from my personal life. But it's definitely not unprofessional. People from my job get together occasionally but I always opt out.

Why do you think or assume that there is a correlation between being undocumented and abusing the hospital system? You're implying (wrongly i might add) that undocumented people are more likely to "abuse the hospital system" than documented citizens. Undocumented people are the least likely group to seek out medical help because of the stigma of being undocumented and more importantly the fear of being deported.

Um...just mind your business honestly lol. They're still studying and they found a way to do it efficiently. Just worry about yourself and make sure you do what you need to do. Utilize those quizlet questions if you like in addition to doing your own personal study of the textbook materials.

omg. I had this same experience at my job and I literally just left one day and didn't go back---it was that bad. I wasn't really in a position to confide in anyone there and I thought saying something would have most likely backfired. I'm stressed all over again because I don't have a job but I'm also so SO relieved. If you can stick it out, I say go for it but if not, try to save up as much as you can---stick around until the next pay check or two and get out.

You need to fill out an application for CUNY and select Lehman as your school. You have to have that CUNY app filled out before you can start the accelerated program
