Ive dated several docs-they seem to have poorly developed social skills-pass-Im more into real estate developers, MBAs etc-people with real money and more developed social skills-who wants a man with a god like ego ,that works those kind of hours? I find MBAs are more vivacious and have a more fun loving attitude-less ego. (do you want the CEO or the nerd from your high school chemistry class? A Phd does not take the dork out of these guys)

ive waited over 1 hour for help with a 2 person transfer -recently 2 hrs to hold a combative delerious pt for a CBS-have you noticed that the nurses that arent available for you are in your face when they need help?

the doc I mentioned was reported to mgmt but never the authorities. he was reprimanded @ work by being forced to take an anger management class (which didn't "take" by the way) if it were me he would have seen me in court. I am amazed every day at the behaviour he is allowed to get away with.

At my old job they removed the charting table because pts families would see us sitting there charting, reconcilliating MARS etc and complain to the nurse manager about how lazy we were "just sitting there" so we got to do that part of our job standing up. Thank god I left. Now I work at an institution that employs doctors that find it appropriate to yell and berate nurses on a regular basis. One in particular even threw a phone at a nurse in ICU- he's still working there. They also frequently refuse to return pages when they are on call @ hs (even when your pt has a SBP of 240)

truth i hate nursing school and at lot of the crap you have heard is the truth but at the same time i am doing this for me.. the best part will be graduation..but the end is worth it all.. do it for you and ignore the rest.... woman are woman they are the same no matter what they wear... remember that after school... they don't change with an eduacation...
