  1. Mayrao23, I took it yesterday and last night got the good pop up. Yes, you must now enter all the information INCLUDING YOUR CC INFO and then clicking submit before you will receive the good pop up, if you passed. Pearsons system update in August changed the way of accessing the pop up.
  2. It can go either way, but relax and if you want, try to register for the exam again. I did it yesterday and I got the pop up that said I could not reregister.. Also everyone in my class I have spoke to that was what they got and passed. The one who did not pass did not get the pop up and paid for another exam, so it has been very accurate as of September 2014. You do have to enter your CC info and click submit and if you passed you will get a pop up, if you didn't pass it will take your money and you will know. Didn't have the patience to wait, but in my state it only takes 48hr for our license to show up in the BON. Just breathe and believe in yourself.
  3. You are ready! When your sitting down, relax and take your time, hide the timer if you need to, those scores are a positive sign. I took it yesterday and actually knew some of the answers LOL You will have plenty of time, even if you have to answer more than 75 questions. I had a lot of prioritization questions, and about 15 SATA. I tried to register again, went completely through the credit card process, because I figured if I didn't pass I would have to pay for it again anyway. After entering in my CC info and clicking submit, I got a pop up that said I could not register due to already being in the system and taken it, or something like that, so I believe that is a good sign as well. Think positive and have faith in yourself! And Good Luck!
  4. Right out of school I did Kaplan, but I never really applied myself. I would answer questions and more questions but I only reviewed the ones I got incorrect. I was a low exam taker in school, but was Awesome in clinicals and understood the nursing process. This time I studied Kaplan, all the videos (which at times were SOOO boring!) But I knew I had to build my content up to be able to understand what a questions was really asking. I also purchased LaCharity's book on prioritizing and delegation WHICH IS A MUST!! I had so many prioritization questions on my exam and I know that this textbook saved me! I also signed up for the NCSBN NCLEX class and only got through about half of it, it was just too boring for me, so I joined Simplenursing.com and watch videos after videos then would go and do Qbank questions and kept doing that everyday. I studied usually 3-4 hrs a day due to having a family and responsibilities. At night I would look over my notes and look at the NCLEX Study guide that is floating around here. There were a couple errors on that study guide but I knew it and used it to help guide me. Know your fluid and electrolytes s/sx, what causes hypo and hyper, tx for it. The last two weekends I took the study class from Kaplan, since I had failed the first time they offered the class again for free. I took the Classroom Anywhere class and what a difference it made, hearing the information from a different instructor and also three months later helped me understand how to use the decision tree. We have passed nursing school and that was not an easy task, so we are knowledgeable, the NCLE,X however, is its own beast!

  6. I Passed!!! And man was that stressful Nursing school has probably been the most stressful thing I have ever done...since having a family, but I finished.
  7. All my classmates who taken the NCLEX have tried to re-register to take the exam and everyone has received the comment that they have already taken the exam, and now including me!!! Thank God!!! The so called "Good Pop-up" still works if you passed and if you didn't takes your payment of $200 for your future exam. Now anxiously waiting for the official results and my name to be on the BON website.
  8. Congrats to you both!!! I took my exam today...I knew the process had changed from a month ago, but I figured if I didn't pass I'd have to pay to take the exam anyway soooo....I got the good pop up!! Sure hope it's accurate, I do not want to sit for that exam ever again!
  9. Great job ICUER2014! I am taking the exam again tomorrow and I feel better prepared this time. I just love to read encouraging posts. I realize I need to take my time and breathe, I can do it!!!
  10. I too did not pass on my first attempt, it was devastating, I was so lost. I took 2 weeks off from doing any questions or studying to decompress. When you are ready, re-register with Kaplan. They have an online "Classroom anywhere" you can take and the lady who taught my class explained things differently and helped me understand. I re-watched the Kaplan videos so I could strengthen my content and paid for a month of simplenursing.com, and I watched Michael Linares videos. You can also watch some of them on you tube, he explains things differently and it also helped. I also purchased LaCharity Prioritizing and Delegation book, which has helped a ton with knowing who to see first. You have 45 days or so before you can retest so when you are ready, get back at it and build your knowledge and test taking strategies skills. YOU CAN DO IT!!! You graduated from nursing school and you can pass the NCLEX too! Good Luck and think positive!
  11. Someone did try the good pop up and paid the $200 thinking at that point they failed the exam, but actually they had passed!! Pearson Vue could not and would not refund their money...so $200 GONE! DO NOT TRY THE GOOD POP UP! So be patient and wait.
  12. I used Michael Linares videos as extra help while I attended nursing school. I was fully aware that he was not an RN, but after the nursing faculty at my school reviewed some of his videos, they said most were pretty good, and he is an RN now. There were numerous times my nursing instructors made mistakes while teaching and would have to come back the next class and correct what they said. I graduated in June, and failed the NCLEX on my first attempt, my report stated I pass 5 areas and close to passing on two others, so I must retake it. I used Kaplan the first time and did not find it helpful. I purchased ext learning from NCSBN and also NCLEX75. The videos help fill in the gaps and make understanding content easier. However, the questions in ext learning form NCSBN I think are harder and are better for what graduates need to prepare for the NCLEX. I know this thread was started a few months ago, but just continuing to study content, answering questions and reading rationals will help.
  13. Ashnicole86, You can do it! You made it through nursing school and that was a huge accomplishment! Take your time, don't forget to breathe, and if you need to, take breaks. And remember to eat a good breakfast. Hugs, from one graduate to another xxxx
  14. I am taking the NCLEX for the second time in a couple weeks. It took me a couple weeks to even start again, depression hit me hard. Thank you for your encouragement, I realize praying along with studying is the best I have, and I WILL pass the next time around! Congratulations!
