Camouflage RN
I wanted to know if anybody refrain from telling their doctors that you are a nurse? Also your kids doctors or anyone else? I have many times and it's because of my past experiences. For example; I was anemic during my pregnancy and was on iron tabs then I asked a simple question if I should continue my iron tabs since I'm constipated. She said, "Your right, you don't really need two tabs just one cause." Or when I ask pediatrician question she said, " you're nurse, right?" Or a doctor said, " I think that you are over thinking it, it's not that serious." I rather be free to ask questions and to experience life without being Judge.

Why should there be a certification to be a nursing assistant?
Agree with @hygiene queen "If you think being a CNA is "easy" and there is no thinking involved, you need to think again. Is it rocket science?"

Should I stay prn at a hospital? WIC Nurse
Keeping your foot in the door as a prn is a great idea. For one as a new NP, they love acute care experience. You can always transition to more hours if this community nursing won't work. Btw, any usage of your skills as a hospital nurse counts in my book. Compare that to being completely out and doing the community nursing. Become who you ultimately want to be, just be smart about. This is a good question.

Bullied nurse. I quit. :(
You are a smart person and I would speak up to another authority. But that is over. This is a new place and bee people. Be yourself and shine as you did. Don't let those ppl in the past to derail you. If you do have a problem speak up. It's always work policies. I find by working nights, I dodge some and I have more time to prepare or study. When I work day shift is just do what I needed to do that my boss complained about.
