  1. There are plenty people who do not get a flu shot in health care. For whatever reason. Wear a mask if they require you to do so. Not a big deal.
  2. Thanks for that. Lots of memories. I recognize a lot of things. ?
  3. I'm sorry but this is a very poor description of passive-aggressive behavior.
  4. Why does it say, the doctor came in to see a patient. A PA is definitely not a doctor. A good reply would have been; "The doctor ordered this". :)
  5. Take a chill pill. Whats the big deal about asking how many patients you have.....
  6. Sorry you're going through this. Been there and done that at a extremely large home health care agency in a very large city in the US. I left voluntarily as a regional clinical director, but was threatened with firing if i didn't do what they wanted me to do. (which was unfair to my staff, and would have cost them their job and I refused to assist in that) Go through HR, make it known and or public. If there is nothing fishy on your part, they don't have a leg to stand on!
  7. Sorry that this happened to you, but that being said, orientation is the time period that both the employer and employee check each other out for a good fit. Its also the time to be on your best behavior. If either sees a potential problem during this time, that would be the time to stop the relationship and terminate, or leave. In this particular case, they probably saw a potential problem. You left without notifying the instructor, getting interrupted by phone calls during orientation (or work), personal affairs/problems that interfere while in class (or work) and you left for a long time (half an hour) All red flags. It tells them what can be anticipated when you work there.....
  8. Interesting. I just did my re-certification for CPR/BLS and there were a number of people in this class who were unable to do regular chest compressions for one reason or another. Nobody was turned away because of that. Some were offered a stepping stool to make it easier on their back. Don't know how this would work in a real life situation. Either way, they all passed the entire class/course and will be getting their certification. This was a mixed group of professionals through a large hospital.
