Potential for independent telehealth practice as Psych NP?
I work at an outpatient mental health clinic that uses telepsych PMHNPs. They are licensed in the state where the clinic is located and have a DEA number for that state, even though the NPs live in other states. Both providers work for a company I don't know how much they are paid, but I believe they are happy with the arrangement.

Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews
I did use the rubric and the information was there. I was marked down significantly because I did not use the specific verbiage of the rubric and because my thesis statement was deemed to be unclear (as I did not use the words "in this paper" to signify the thesis statement). My grade was about a full ten points below my lowest grade of the program.

Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews
PrismRN: I graduated May 2014 with about 140 units. In addition, I completed a 300 level statistics class at CalState. All of the classes that I took went towards the BSN pathway. I have NO idea where they would think I need additional classes. I was told that because I had the upper level stats class that only 11 would be needed. I think I have read several threads where people that had stats took only 11 (or if they had more classes that could count even less). I am using a combo of: the rest of my FASFA, loan and private pay. I am already accepted into another college but was preferring to complete GCU with a friend or two. I won't take any class until this is figured out

I am curious since I am in the same boat, Ianoneus....did GCU iron out this issue for you? They told me that I needed 11 classes (I have Bachelors level statistics) and when I logged in I saw 15!!!!

Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews
I had decided to 'bite the bullet' and attend GCU. The representative told me I have 11 classes (bachelors degree statistics is already done). I was told that by two representatives based on the 140 units/classes I already have completed. I just logged into my GCU acct and see that I am enrolled for an astonishing 15 classes. The additional 4 seem to be unnecessary filler classes. Has this happened to anyone else??? I am very upset.

NRSE 4520 Health Assessment-Summer 2013...role call
Thank you Woodsyny. I have been accepted into OU's program and could also do GCU. I have very mixed feelings about both. For OU, I need the core 9 and upper level comp. I may also have to take intro to soc (because I took a higher level soc class and apparently it has to be soc 1). So possibly 11 there. With GCU I have stats, so 11 there. GCU will cost me about 5-6k more and has the dreaded group projects. Sigh. I am have a hard time deciding. I would like to keep my 3.9 gpa and have heard grade horror stories about both

NRSE 4520 Health Assessment-Summer 2013...role call
I am curious to ask the posters of this thread: did you end up graduating from OU's program, and what was your satisfaction rate with it? Thank you :)

Grand Canyon University RN-BSN
I will continue to look into that. I took my statistics class at a State University and it is upper-division, however it is 4 quarter units, which according to their (GCU) guidebook they would consider 2.67 semester units. I wonder if they have a filler class that is half a unit???

I am looking into GCU too. I am debating on whether on looking into UTA and am not sure how many additional classes I might need (although I think their degree has a base of 9 classes to start instead of 12). I was hoping to see if anyone had any input on some of the original post regarding having statistics but still needing to take 12 classes. Wouldn't mind cutting my cost or the work load!

Grand Canyon RN-BSN
This thread is awesome. I am currently talking to an advisor (I think that is her position anyway) at GCU, to potentially start this summer. I am also considering a Cal-State and Brandman-however both of those schools are not fully on-line. I will be finishing my ADN this May, and hope to take the NCLEX in June or early July. These posts have been encouraging and it is nice to get feedback from actual students. Fortunately, I should not have to take statistics, as I am taking it now along with the end of my nursing program. YAY!!!

What speciality of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are allowed to perform Abortions?
This is something that interests me also. Do any of you know if there have been any changes about who can perform them and where?
