  1. I am on my third week and I feel stupid! Almost everyday I question myself!! It is so much info to take in... I hope it gets better. I made a terrible grade on my first unit test and I'm not sure what I did wrong in my studying. Once again, I HOPE IT GETS BETTER. Good luck to you
  2. I am sorry for your family's loss. Congratulations on your pass! I can only imagine how stressful the whole situation would be. I start my ADN in the fall, and I have a great anxiety of my NCLEX test day. What a relief for you, to have it over and accomplished
  3. I seriously considered attending Gurnick's lvn program in Fresno CA. I decided on a different program back home in NC, so I would like to know how it goes for you guys. Update me on your experiences please. Thanks
  4. I am 34 and will be starting ADN program in August, YAYY! I hope to have Bachelor's by 40.
  5. I received my acceptance letter March 1st. I haven't actually celebrated yet. We just relocated 3000 miles across the country so our family could be together, and then I got accepted back home. Of course I'm going to go back for school, I've worked so hard for this, but it causes a lot of mixed feelings. I feel guilty for choosing something for myself( I never put myself first). Out here, where we moved, there are waiting lists years long. I am also excited, but now I am flooded with worries of failing nursing school. After all the dedication, what if I do not make it? I haven't been able to share my feelings with my husband, because he is bitter that I'm leaving, but he wants me to have a career...confusing huh? I hope to be celebrating soon:)
  6. Is there a certain pharmacology book that would be the best to begin studying? I thought it might help to just begin learning pharmacology over the summer before school starts, but I do not know which one would be best.
  7. good ideas! Thanks. I especially like the idea of recording lectures. I have always meant to do that and forget. Im definitely putting it on my list. As for flash cards, I always believe in flash cards. In the past, my brain rejects information early and will only begin accepting it at the last minute. Ive got to break that... I will be trying out your methods
  8. I am looking for advice before I begin my nursing program in the fall. A healthy diet and exercise plan is first on my list. I hope to relax this summer and enjoy California before I go back to NC for school. It is really important for me to find a good study routine because I have the habit of cramming, and I KNOW that is not going to work in nursing school. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I hope to enter into the fall semester refreshed and prepared. it has been hard work getting into a program and my biggest fear is to FAIL.....
