I waited a month after my interview to receive the offer so you never know but keep applying to other places because you never know what will happen

I got the job!! After waiting forever I finally got the offer. I'm so excited to be a trauma nurse. God is good prayer and patience works big time

I will call early next week to see what's going on and I have been applying but so far that's the only full time position that I've had an interview with. I have a per diem job though that starts tomorrow so I guess that will hold me over in the mean time

Need some advice. I had a job interview oct 11th at a big hospital got moved to the second phase of the hiring process which was the background check and reference check on oct 15th. I emailed the recruiter on October 23rd to see if a decision has been made and was told the unit is in the decision making process right now and she will get back to me. I sent a follow up email to the nurse manager on oct 25 and she said they are still waiting on some of my paperwork and they enjoy me shadowing on the floor and they will get back to me as soon. My question is does it take that long for a hospital to make an offer and should I move on or continue to follow up with the recruiter. I don't want to be a nag or anything. I just feel stuck right now.

If your status says delivery successful then you are able to do the pearson trick

Girl I applied to the May one and the February one and I haven't heard anything for this one either. I'm over the gems program. They only pick 25 ppl and the lady said they get over 400 applications.

Think positive thoughts. I did the trick every hr on the hr just because I was scared that the trick wouldn't work anymore. Until I got fed up and couldn't wait the 48 hrs to pay for the quick results, I called my BON and put on my sad voice and the lady ended up telling me I passed lol

My school paid for us to have a pharm review and I used that book. I believe it's called pharmacology made easy. It has nursery rhymes and stuff so you can remember the drugs. It's really good lol

Delivery successful jeans you test has been sent to your board of nursing. You can also do the trick when your status says delivery sucessful. To see your results you have to wait 48 hrs after you take the test if your start participates in the quick results

They say reach 65 on kaplan I NEVER Got a 65 on any of the trainers. The highest I got was a 61 and I still passed the nclex with 75 questions. So don't feel discouraged. Keep studying and doing questions everyday and analyze why you got the questions wrong

I would take it ASAP!! I wouldn't care if my mom worked at the same hospital. The struggle to get a hospital job as a new grad is hard. Mater of fact landing any job as a new grad is a struggle. I think you're thinking too much into it. You will be fine.

DONT BUY NCSBN It's GARBAGE!!! my school paid for it for the a month I believe tried using it and I didn't like the content and the questions are NOT nclex style questions. It leans more towards content info if you ask me. Don't waste your money. The Saunders comprehensive books is good. I preferred it over the Kaplan book just because I felt like the kaplan book just listed the info. I didn't read it from cover to cover because that was too much cramming but I looked up things I got wrong on kaplan and topics I didn't know much about like psych and maternity

I used kaplan and Saunders and passed with 75 questions. If you take kaplan seriously you will pass on the first try. I did 150 questions/day.

I used kaplan and Saunders comprehensive to review due to the fact that I didn't like the kaplan study book. I say if you know your content then go with kaplan because you need to know how to answer and break down questions. My friend used hurst and ended cramming due to the fact it was a lot of material to learn. She got 265 questions but passed. I also used Saunders question and answer when I got tired of doing kaplan questions. Kaplan to me was much harder than nclex.

I say take kaplan, maybe you need help learning how to break down questions and cancel out the wrong answers. That's what kaplan helps you with. To me I feel that kaplan questions were harder than the nclex questions. I also used the Saunders comprehensive book to review topics I got wrong on the kaplan question trainers. I also used Saunders question and answer book too when I got tired of doing kaplan questions on the computer.

Thanks for responding!! I'm going to follow up with her now. I didn't ask because basically the nurse manager was saying its up to me if I want to work there and to email her with my decision but now the recruiter saying its a pool of final candidates. So idk

Do you know how long the hiring process takes!???

Hey highly blessed I was wondering how long was the hiring process for yale and how long did it take them to call you back with an offer

I had an interview on October 11th with the nursing manager and recruiter. I sent my thank you email the next morning. I received a call from the recruiter October 15th stating that I have moved on to the next phase of the hiring process which is with a pool of final candidates where they do a background check and your references have to do an online skilled survey. My references completed the questionnaire last Friday. I was wondering is it too soon to email the nurse manager and ask when she will make her decision or should I wait a little longer to contact her?

Great!! The employees that I met while shadowing and during the interview were so nice. I moved on to the next step of the hiring process. I'm praying I get it because I will learn a lot working at yale. It's a good opportunity.

I say apply for the job before you move and use your aunts address as your address on your resume and go from there

I have an interview with Yale hospital as a new grad. They have been rejecting me for every other positions I applied for and I REALLY WANT to land this job. This is my first interview. How should I prepare and how do I stand out for others they will be interviewing for this position? Also I get to shadow after the interview is that a good sign
