  1. It was confirmed that my paperwork was sent to Pearson vue today. Have you heard anything yet?
  2. That seems extreme. Have you called or checked your junk mail
  3. Did you receive your ATT yet?
  4. They are striking for safety reasons! This isn't about the money. Smh.
  5. I'm in Ma. Still waiting. Super annoyed.
  6. I graduate Tuesday!
  7. Depends on the person. This is too much for me.
  8. Old post but thought I would share. Took the teas 5 times, passed the 5th time. Graduate my adn program in 24 days with honors. Don't give up!
  9. I'd think pain would be the priority. Is patient on hospice?
  10. Quincy takes everyone that applies as long as you have the basic criteria met for application. The school is chaotic as far as clinical placements go but if you want a guarantee to start in the September apply there. I'm a third semester student and it's not awful.
  11. Pay off some of those school loans before you take out anymore. Your husband and yourself make a decent salary, SAVE SAVE SAVE. Go back to school later.
  12. I work in dialysis, it is VERY repetitive and you will lose skills. Just keep that in mind.
  13. I don't hate it but I do hate having my clinical changed multiple times, being behind now 2 weeks of clinical due to them not having a clinical instructor and the overall lack of communication. I am learning a lot in lecture and like my professor but clinical schedules are a joke.
  14. Poor communication*
  15. They have poor organization and bad organizational skills.
  16. Please for the love of god go somewhere else. You will thank me later.
  17. I'm currently a student at the Plymouth campus.
  18. You'll get in. No worries. Trust me. They are all about $. They are very very unorganized so be prepared for that.
  19. Legally you are allowed breaks to pump prn/every 4 hours or so. You are also entitled to a place that is not a bathroom to pump. Look up the laws in your state and be prepared to fight for your rights. You are your biggest advocate.
  20. You're 6 weeks in so are you still going to classes? I'd bring it up with your instructor if that's the case. If not, I'd ask for a different preceptor. Dialysis is hard ( 4 years as a tech, currently a nursing student). It's also not for everyone but rule of thumb is that it takes 6 months to "get it". Also, a hypotensive pt close to their dry would still need dialysis to filter the blood. Where I work the pt would be put to a minimum filtration and Bp monitored q15. Also, make sure to ask the pt if they have taken any Bp meds or opioids pre tx. Hang in there.
  21. I'm a bit overwhelmed with the reading but doing ok I guess!
  22. I bought all the books because we will use them throughout the 2 years. I also know this is the cheapest semester due to less credits so I spent the money now and I won't have to worry about it.
  23. Is everyone ready for the fall?!
  24. Just remember that sometimes you get stuck in a specialty. I personally love dialysis and the pay is great. It's not for everyone though...
