Deleted my Facebook a while ago. Seems to be biting me in the butt now!

I am taking it on the 29th:) Also, I still can't get onto my email! It doesn't work through portal, and doesn't work for me through the Nursing page "Toolbox" menu! Help! What username are we supposed to be entering? My student id, NetID, and emails all didn't work.

Hi everyone. Check your emails ASAP! I received one this evening with a lot of important info. TEAS: either 7/29 (11am-5:30pm) or 8/2 (11am-5:30pm) Check your emails with directions of how to sign up & reserve a spot. NALC Dates & Times: 8/5, 8/9, 8/12 from 11am-5:30pm, and 8/21, 8/22, 8/23 from 12-5. Once again, check your email or call the school to find out how to participate, as I can't give names or phone numbers on here. And orientation is on 8/13 from 8am to 4pm. Breakfast AND lunch with be provided :)

DEZZIE, thanks so much, this has answered a lot of my questions.

DEZZIE, are the Clinicals included in the tues-thurs schedule? Are Mondays study days? And also, what are the class times like?

It's definitely normal. No matter who it is that you tell, whether it be strangers, friends, family...they all have something to say. Most are just trying to be nice, so I just sit back, and (sometimes just pretend to) listen. :)

How would you guys approach looking into local hospitals for scholarships? I've heard that there is some kind of contract, if they help you pay for nursing school, you'll commit to working for them for at least a certain number of years. I have no idea where to start with that one though....

melizerd, I totally think it's bad ju-ju also! Didn't even realize the legal aspects of it. I just feel like i'd be jinxing myself if I wore/used anything with nurse on it before passing the boards.

Dad knows best :) It's such a pain because books are expensive but from year to year standards, guidelines and state protocols change, so it is ideal to have the latest editions. Best of luck!!!

green34, how many hours a week did you work? Do you think it's best to not work at all? (I know that's not an option for some people, but just out of curiosity).

I agree with green34, definitely read ahead. It's very easy to get caught up and behind. Try your best to read the chapters ahead of time before the lecture, that way the material will really sink in. Best of luck!!!

I applied to a total of 5 schools (over a few years), and finally got into 1. I had 10 more on a list to apply to. Send applications to as many schools as you can, because I learned the hard way that you can't keep all of your eggs in one basket!

thanks ma1087! It was about a week and a half after I sent the deposit check and the background forms that I received the email. I'm so excited to meet everyone! I've been feeling out of the loop with the NALC and TEAS also so I'm glad that I'm not the only one. I too, am curious about the class schedule but have found nothing about it besides last years. They do say that we are automatically registered so I'm hoping by orientation it's all figured out.

Accepted to Newark Campus! Anyone else try to set up their NetId and Rutgers email? (Apparently it is officially Rutgers now, and no longer UMDNJ?). After setting up my NetId I can access the MyRutgers Portal, but can't seem to get onto my email.

Hi Temmuz, how do you know when your "completed date" is? I have designated my app, sent everything in and assumed it's completed, just wondering if NursingCas or UMDNJ will send you any sort of confirmation? Thanks!
