  1. I have 2 dogs. I give them a GOOD walk before work and when I get home they get a basic walk. They empty their cans and they do well. Shepard are very smart dogs. My neighbors shepherd showed my larger dog how to open doors.
  2. No No Nooooo. 30,000 for LVN no I did my LVN in LA at the adult school in El Monte for 3000 everything included uniforms, books, lab fees ect. Cc and adult schools are typically respected much more than the for profits. If you are worried about your deficiency take a class to bring you skills up.
  3. Not true of a lot of the so cal cc, everyone is different. Are you in LA county? LA county nursing you MUST take your general ed classes elsewhere. Trade Tech it doesn't matter where you take. If you are willing to commute or move to another part of the area I know there are places to get in.
  4. That depends on location. In my state it is rare that a hospital will hire any ADN even the rural ones want BSN.

My husband is from Mexico and the kids in his family drink coffee from a young age. The coffee they drink when we go to visit his family is soooo weak to me. My hubby thinks my coffee is way to strong.
  6. Ohhhh. Glad that wasn't said to me I would have said something terrible to the dr. I am also the one who kicked a rude mean nurse off my case.
  7. I have a MH with a toad. If you do go that route pick a car (toad) that can be towed 4 down (don't belive dealership they lie) a car dolly is a pain and adds a ton of weight.
  8. Beware of degree mills otherwise it's the same from what I understand.
  9. CnA is a nurse assistant and MA is medical assistant. They are different CNA will get you more exposure to nurses while MA is almost always working in a clinic. I did the MA route in HS. When I started nursing school I did not have much knowledge compared to the people who WORKED as CNA. You have to decide what's more important for your time. I did not wan
  10. I thought they ended the pm Glendale program
  11. Depends on where one lives. Where I live we have TONS of bridge programs but very FEW seats. The school closets to me had 1 bridge seat last year. California is so impacted that even people trying to bridge are having to move to get a seat. If I had it to do over I would just go for my ADN or BSN
  12. I am an LVN and I wouldn't recommend it IF you want to be an RN. It has ended up taking me a lot longer and in the long run costing more money. If you want to work in LTC go for LVN

I wouldn't do LPN again. I did that I had a heck time finding a BSN bridge. I ended up redoing a lot. I wasted a lot of time. I couldn't get a job in an LTC or SNF where I lived as a LVN because it was soooo competitive. I went to a open interview for a LPN position and they stopped letting people in after more than 100. I ended up working in Dr office and it was great normal hours no weekends or holidays but the job made it almost impossible to take more classes. My hours were 9am to 7pm M-Th the local community colleges only offer limited classes that worked for me.
  14. You have an ok chance, some schools in so cal do a lottery if you meet the cutoff.
  15. 👏👏👏 I agree. I did lvn to pay the bills. The bridge programs in my area have waiting list years long. My state has only a few lvn-bsn programs but they only have a small hand full of seats every year.
  16. I couldn't. I did well in both classes because I spent at least 2 hrs per day working on it. I don't know if you can. My school wouldn't allow you to take them at same time.
  17. For me I would get a binder for psychology only and another for all of the other classes. I would go 1.5 or 2 inch. The art class depends on the teacher. When I took it I did not have a lot of notes the teacher gave us printout of his slides so I just notes on the slides.
  18. I am so sorry. I hope your daughter goes in to remission very soon. As for your question I would not know. You need to check with your schools administration to ask every school is different. I had to take time off because of a collision and my school allows you to take only one semester otherwise you have to reapply.
  19. Ask the nursing department by email if possible.
  20. I don't know which you should do. Which do you want to do more? I wouldn't go 20000 for an LVN. That is a huge amount of money. If you do decide that nursing is what you want I would either wait on the list OR maybe you can commute a little further to another cc. Also look at state adult schools that's where I did my LVN and it was super cheap a little more than the cc tution but it included books, basic supplies ect. If you go LVN route get yourself on all the waiting list you can.
  21. The preferred fingerprinting option in most of California. It's all digital the results return faster.
  22. It depends on the district they are all different. I think it's pretty common to pay your own live scan and credentials.
  23. Mine was just orientation, we got fitted for scrubs. They did nail hair makeup checks and book checks. The second day we started class.
  24. Thank you and your husband for your service. How long do you stay in one place?
