  1. Hey all this will be my last post as a pre nursing student!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am done living in a dream world where i think nursing is something practical that i could ascertain. I believe that after much thought and consideration. What i thought i wanted is not really what i wanted. What i may consider is a career as a surgical technologist or diagnostic medical sonographer, or as a dental assistant, or a licensed practical nurse, occupational therapy assistant, or a physical therapy assistant, athletic trainer, medical transcriptionist, medical receptionist, pharmacy aide, pharmacy technician, medical assistant, EKG Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, Phlebotomist, Biomedical Engineering, Forensic Science Technician, Social Worker, Speech Pathologist.
  2. i know what i want but it doesn't seem to be working out so im just gonna back to what i was doing. idk what i was thinking. i have back tracked and gone through the processes that were recommenderd. I just can't seem to get it right. im just pre nursing meaning that i don't have to attend nursing school.
  3. Listen guys i have lost both of my aunts and im not doing nursing anymore i can't handle the pain i would have to deliver to peoples families. it isn't fair to the families nor to myself.
  4. thanks guys i have just been struggling with life i can't stand to see sick people thats why i just kinda wanna work in a happy place.
  5. Yes to everyone who is currently commenting on my posts. I have gone through a lot i lost two aunts in two years and im still grieving. i just don't think im gonna be able to complete out a nursing program. I am just really thinking this thing through i might choose an auxillary medical career. its all i have left.
  6. Hey guys i know i have been posting a lot lately but i have alot on my mind. Right now i am just feeling much more safe heading into a direct entry nursing program. Would that be the better route for someone who has literally struggled through college. It has taken me five years and two academic probations at a community college just to make it this far. I have changed my major multiple times and screwed up for most of my life at this point im just ready to get my college degree and be done any recommendations or feedback would be greatly appreciated. I really want to do nursing and i just feel more secure with direct entry after my bachelors degree.
  7. Guys this is really shaping up in the end to help me out and become the nurse i want to become.
  8. hey guys so i have potentially weighted my options and the adn to bsn bridge is probably going to be my best bet because of the fact that my parents will be willing to help me out.
  9. I just need to know what would be the recommended track for someone who had two semesters of toughness but is trying to attain a nursing career.
  10. Hey guys i am a little confused as to which program would suit a student who has been through academic probation and needs something in the short term to carry her through until she can do better for herself. What would you all recommend.
  11. ok thanks heathermaizey i will consider that. Another Question is would you go for your lpn first as it is a less competive program. i have very low credit hours. I don't know what to do anymore.
  12. It's only two semesters and one was over four years ago and the other was last semester so too many slip ups.
  13. Hey guys after much thought I'm still going to do it but I am really going to taper toward making good grades and just slowly raising my gap at continued standard levels. And to the posters that think I have bad grades I have a mix of good grades and bad grades. I passed some of my pre teas for the state of Alabama like chem, English, history, reading etc. yes math is my downfall but I'm strong in sciences.
  14. The Mobility and pain are two aspects that should be focused on as primary concerns and should be treated with pain medication to make her comfortable. The next thing that should be adressed is the cellulitis; it should be treated with agressive antibiotics. this is just my opinion.
