  1. Try Western Governors University, the only drawback is they don't have grades, so your GPA can't be more than 3.0.
  2. First question is: What is the nurse-to-resident ratio in your facility? Very often it's so ridiculously high that the nurses can't provide good nursing care.
  3. I found that if I inject Rocephin really slow (good 90 seconds), it helps to avoid excessive pain at the injection site.
  4. Go ahead and do this if you like. I'm not really sure what do you mean by your reply. If you don't like foreign names, suck it up.
  5. Most likely he is Russian or Ukranian. I don't see anything wrong about this name as it is taken from the Bible (English version is Simon). Take care.
  6. I'm glad nobody plays such a silly game when I do my reports. Perhaps because I'm a male surrounded by a bunch of the pretty female nurses?
  7. The idea of a CAT exam is that at any single point of an exam you're likely to miss the question or get it right. It may be a different difficulty level, but at the end you should end up with approximately 50% questions answered wrong. The key is what difficulty level you'll get on the exam. :) Your low score looks OK as long as you review all your answers no matter how you answer them and read the rationales.
  8. OP, after getting your performance review, please don't overlook your strong areas as well. For your studying, you may concentrate just on your weak spots and forget about your strong ones, which may make them weak. It might be just your luck of getting questions with the familiar context, thus making that particular area appearing strong. Don't put too much weight into the performance review as it may not be 100% accurate.
  9. I got my one year experience at SNF (rehab wing) and now have a job interview with a hospital. It's better than remaining unemployed for the hope of getting a hospital job.
  10. Started in June 2012 at TCU with base $22.19 plus $0.50 evening shift differential, now $25.28 ($1.15 for being BSN, $1.00 for charge, and same shift differential). Minnesota south to Twin Cities area.
  11. Our facility pays 50 cents more for second shift, and 75 cents for the nights.
  12. I'd like to work in your facility, seems like your patients receive an adequate nursing care with this staffing level. How many aids work on AM and PM shifts?

It's so important to read the ingredients list before buying something OTC
