I am not a nurse yet, but the thing that strikes me the most is that the doctors order stated that an ADDITIONAL dose could be given if the first dose wasn't adequate. That suggests to me that this nurse (regardless of the fact that she was giving an IV push medication) needed to stay and monitor her patients response to the medication to verify if she needed an additional dose. She just gave the med and left. I am sorry but that was negligent on her part! Sad to think if she would have stayed how differently this story would have gone.

Yes, you keep going!! I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for you to get an 86 on two tests. I'm sure you will have to dedicate a lot of time to studying, but you can do it!!!

You can't submit your application for your RN until you have taken BIO 201 and they will probably make you take a higher math. I am assuming that because you already have a Bachelor's degree, they may have you do a MSN instead? It would be worth it to email an advisor or call in to try to get your questions answered!

Hi! I was accepted into the SCC/UIU program that will be starting this fall. I had SCC as one of my choices but always assumed I would get into MCC as that is the campus I have been at for the past year. How are you guys liking SCC? Does it seem to be a good program? Thanks!

hi Union-Jack! I have my app in at MCC right now and was planning to apply to UIU. I am finishing my last two co-req's (BIO 202 and 205) this semester. I REALLY hope I can start the UIU classes in the fall, that would be awesome! I originally planned to take BIO 205 in person in the fall but when I saw that they didn't place people for UIU until the following February, I was stressed about missing an entire semester. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that taking BIO 205 online will be worth it in the end ; )

I know that post was in June or July and I was wondering if you have already been accepted to the UIU program? I'm trying to determine if there is a possibility for me to start before spring semester of next year if I submit my app in May

Hi! I am submitting my nursing application at Mesa Community College this morning and had a question for you. I want to go the CEP route, however, to go to ASU, I still have to finish BIO 202, BIO 205 and CHM 130 before I can apply. For NAU I think I could probably apply sooner (because you can have some credits in process), but they have A LOT more classes you have to take. At UIU I am almost positive I can apply today. My question, does having a degree from ASU/NAU look better on your resume than UIU? What about if you want to continue on and become an NP or CRNA? I really appreciate the advice everyone gives on here, you guys have helped me a lot!

yes! I signed up for the 16 week course but could move as quick as I wanted so I had it done in a month. It wasn't hard at all but I am pretty good at math

I took Chemistry in high school so I have that pre-req covered. However, to go to ASU, you have to take Chemistry 130.

Hi! I am finishing my last pre-req right now and will be able to submit my application for the December application period! I only want to go days and wanted to only have MCC days as my choice. I need to take BIO202, BIO 205, CHM 130 and HCR 240 to be able to apply to the ASU cep program. How long do you think the wait would be if I only put one choice for the program I would be willing to do? I am nervous if I put other colleges and programs, I will be admitted sooner than I could finish my CEP pre-req's.
