  1. It's not like the cheater is going to complain about her phone getting jammed.
  2. I always try hard to have a study group, although it could just be a single person. There are countless benefits. I stopped school for a couple years, and it's depressing because my great study buddies have moved on and I'll be praying to find new ones that are as good.
  3. Thanks, that helps me too since their lists are statewide. Colleges: http://www.cdph.ca.gov/services/training/Documents/CNATrainingPrograms.pdf Continuing Education: http://www.cdph.ca.gov/services/training/Documents/ContinuingEducationPrograms-Dec-2012.pdf
  4. Check your community colleges. There should be one near you that has the classes. There may be some programs run by the city's vocational adult education programs that do it for a small fee, and are probably shorter. I search of the community college district in your area shows that CNA classes are available at American River. Los Rios Community College District - Class Schedule Search
  5. Oops, I got you mixed up with kenyacka. Well kenyacka, if you want to get a new copy of your certificate and transfer it to California, I already pulled up the information for you. :) Allison, it's probably done the same way in your state. That is, the certificate is sent from the association, to the school, then to you.
  6. Whew, it doesn't require me to take anything I wasn't already going to take!
  7. I'd like to know more about this too. Based on the points systems that'd apply to me, and the feedback I've seen, I doubt I'd get admitted with less than a 3.5 unless I had work experience or a lot of volunteer experience. Since it is part of a points system, I'd also want to know TEAS score and work/vol experience.
  8. I don't see why your certificate would be a big deal. Your employer only has to have your name and SSN to verify your enrollment in the registry. https://webapp01.dhss.mo.gov/cnaregistry/CNASearch.aspx If you really must get a copy of your certificate, check this out. Give the Health Education Unit a call tomorrow and ask them for help. Frequently Asked Questions | CNA, CMT and Insulin Registry | Health & Senior Services
  9. I found real organic chemistry to be easier for me than general chemistry because it made sense of what was learned in general chem. It was the ochem lab that really ate up my time. I strongly recommend having a small study group to do the lab reports. Stats was really easy for me, but I took it online and I'm a wizard with Excel. I'd set up my spreadsheets for the practice questions, and them all I had to do was adjust the numbers and some columns & rows for the tests.
  10. If you're feeling devilish, you could get a cell phone jammer.
  11. Alison, are you taking real organic chemistry, or the general, biological & organic chemistry version that nurses take?
  12. My labs for ochem were very time consuming, not like intro & general chem.
  13. Let me add one more thing. You'll get much more strength out of your core when you use more than your lower back. Take a moderately deep breath, push it into your abdomen and flex your abs. Your lower back will still need to work, but this takes a lot of strain off the back and may allow you to lift a lot more weight if the rest of your body is up to it.
