  1. I don't care about the talking behind my back etc, they can just kick rocks, there's a couple of people Icant stand but if they say a smart comment I tell them one right back. It's the immaturity that leaves me with my mouth open. And they can't leave the freaking dummies alone...even the old ones I look at them and I'm just thinking "you're too old for that you should be ashamed..." AND some already work in the medical field!!
  2. Sexual harassment is illegal. You don't have to "putup with it" or "just ignore it". It's nor working, and usually it never does. So many people keep this to themselves, bottling up inside. If something is illegal and you report it, its not tatteling, its doing what's right, even if others don't agree. GL
  3. I like OP's direct wording, use it.
  4. I brought a clipboard/ case where I can put the pen, scissors, measuring tape. Stethoscope around my neck and little handbook in pcket. Lunch in non descript plastic bag lol
  5. There I was standing over Mrs. Smith ready to give her the 0900 meds when she says "Dear, I'm not prescribed tic tacs, at least not yet!"
  6. I cannot believe that so much bullying is going on in nursing schools, around the country! I mean this is a profession where compassion anprofessionalism are supposed to be mandatory! How can the staff allow someone that is verbally bullying or esp physically bullying others to become nurses?? I mean these people will care for the weak and frail, 101 characteristics bullies look for!! SHAME ON PPL THAT ALLOW THAT IN NURSING. I shudder to think that I'm getting old...
  7. I say this is the beginning of bullying between you and this guy. He's trying to measure how much he can push you, this is your time to "push" back. Be BRAVE, the next time he skips you before that paper gets handed out to the next person, say "hey, I need a paper." Period, and not a whisper, loud. LOUD. People may call you a wimp or a baby but reality is perception and the more anxious or scared you get he will know like a dog sniffing , he will pick up that scent. Plz give us an update, preferably how you called him out on that crap Good luck!
  8. Great post, I feel like I'm getting prepared for the real world on this site
  9. I was also looking to volunteer in a hospital in my area and the main thing they require is that you dedicate minimum 4 hours a week for 6 months, time and days are pretty flexible. You should go to the hospital's website and find out or call.
  10. Great post made me smile!
  11. Micro is hard! You need to dedicate alot of time if you don't you will not pass with an A. I just finished micro .
  12. So far it seems that there is endless memorization in the A&Ps and Micro, memorize pages and pages. A lot of times you memorize the pages that you were told would be on the test and surprise the test would have other things that were not discussed. I thought it was the teacher but that has happened with other teachers. You have to read a lot and understand what you read because memorization of so many chapters is nearly impossible. Good luck.
  13. I would find another partner, if you cant I would report him the instant he tried to harass you.
  14. There's nothing you can do, sorry, regardless if you guys are such great friends then you'll be friends no matter what. I hope you can focus on your own work. A tutor may be her only option, I don't believe anyone meant harm, keeping it real. I wish you both gl!
