  1. I think it is ch203 at nsc
  2. Since there has not been tons of time for me to read the chapters I read the chapter summary, and then search you tube videos. I always try to have a general idea of what the professor will teach before I go to class so I don't waste time. Since there is a test a week and I work full time this is the best method I have found.
  3. Doing it right now and already had a test!
  4. I'm hoping to be all done in December of 2016 too! Granted I get into the program for next fall :) I am hoping to be ready to take the teas next semester which will allow enough time to retake if needed.
  5. I also have a useless business administration degree, but I'm going straight for nursing. I believe you could do a direct nursing msn program with your bachelors degree (you might want to double check my accuracy). I would say you would benefit from the bachelors since you can't get into your nursing program.
  6. I took sociology in 4 weeks and loved it. You have no option of procrastinating, so all of my work got done.
  7. I work full time and have all A's. I do make sure I study everyday though.
  8. I would just smile everytime you see him because you know you are going to quit soon. I know it is extremely hard to not let people get to you, but I would personally feel great knowing I was going to be leaving soon.
  9. I'm doing math, history, med term, and A&P 2 this summer. I was trying to get A&P alone since it is the hardest one, but my math will overlap a couple of weeks.
  10. I'm in the same boat as you!
  11. You don't take prenursing, but rather prenursing is a bunch of prerequisites needed to get accepted to actual nursing school. for example, I am currently accepted as a prenursing student while I complete my prerequisites in hopes of being accepted into a bsn nursing school.
  12. I think it depends on the subject. For any science classes there is no way I wouldn't get a real book. For other easier classes without many diagrams and pictures I think e-books are great. I guess it really depends on your personal preference.
  13. I like using quizlet because I feel as if I'm studying as I'm typing the flash cards up. Plus I can review as much as needed. I also keep them separated by chapter which helps keep me organized.
  14. I went on hospital websites and filled out applications. I was under the impression that they were full, but I have orientation on Saturday.
  15. My lab quiz and lecture exam are next week. My fingers are crossed! Pretty nervous about the histology portion.
  16. I just tried quizlet for the 1st time because of this post, and it is awesome. Thanks for the great tip!!
  17. I would try to explain that having the Bsn is not absolutely necessary at this time, but in the future it will most likely be. So you can get it all done now, so you can start your post nursing school life sooner opposed to way later. Also, tell him how important it is to you, and that you would feel you were selling yourself short going with the adn route.
  18. I think the first place you should start is finding accredited nursing schools in your area. They will be able to give you area specific information.
  19. So if I want to take my prereqs at CSN to transfer to UNLV will I qualify for financial aid?
  20. Look for different schools. 2015 is a long ways away!
  21. I too am taking 3 classes summer 2013. Ap 1, ap 2, a com 101. I will really be taking only two classes at once because the aps are only 8 weeks each. Good luck!
  22. I am in the same boat as you. I chose to take the long route, so I can get the most out of the experience, instead of cramming so much in at once. I have changed the amount of classes I was planning on taking at once, so like I said I can get more out of each class. I am going to take a nursing assistant class next semester, and I can at least get some onsite experience as a CNA while I am doing the nursing program. I also comptenplated going straight for the bsn, but realized I would not gain any work experience in the meantime.
